When you think of Elizabeth, what looks and character do you instantly imagine?

Well I imagine a very cheeky blonde two year old who is funny and caring and bright ok, DD is Elizabeth

ch1134 · 26/07/2013 10:32

responsible, caring, sweet, kind, sensible

NotGoingSwimmingly · 26/07/2013 04:09

Whoever she is! A name doesn't dictate who you are.

MissOtisRegrets · 26/07/2013 04:01

My sister - mid 40's, hardworking mum of two, bright eyes, lovely smile and a scary temper!

nooka · 26/07/2013 03:57

I don't instantly imagine anyone because I know a few Elizabeths (including an array of shortenings) and they are all different. Take dd's friend Elisabeth who is 13, and sadly not not very mentally stable right now. Or my adult colleague Betty who is very clever, classy and impeccably dressed. Or dh's aunt Liz who is somewhat downtrodden. I wouldn't expect any other Elisabeth to be similar to any of them!

Mollie272 · 26/07/2013 02:04

My dd (3yrs) is Elizabeth, but she has always been known as Lizzy. I think it's timeless and classic.

LazyMonkeyButler · 25/07/2013 23:39

A serious, studious type of woman. Probably dressed very smartly.

Really, an Elizabeth could be anything - you don't see many on Jeremy Kyle though.

Onyabike · 25/07/2013 23:36

Not a big fan of Elizabeth as a first name as it's a bit safe and uninspired (think it works better as a middle name). For me, Elizabeth brings to mind a sensible 40/50 year old.

BabyStone · 25/07/2013 23:05

Elegant, feminine, some body that appears to be tall (holds themselves well)

looki · 25/07/2013 23:05

Hard one as I struggle to like it and want to like it but I don't. care for it in reality.

See it fitting a bossy tough person if called by her full name.
I see Liz as a loud, shout everyone down, not so smart person.
See Beth as a gentle person but possibly insipid.
See Bess as a large robust farmers wife.
See Eliza as a cute girl in pigtails but can't see that girl as an adult.

Everything above.

Pretty, blonde, slim, dressed with timeless style.

Boggler · 25/07/2013 23:01

Solid dependable around 50 and a bit boring.

NoComet · 25/07/2013 22:59

She's cute and blond and about six.

BikeRunSki · 25/07/2013 22:57

No. It is an ageless, classless name.

ChaChaDigregorio · 25/07/2013 22:56

My mum.

AuntieBrenda · 25/07/2013 22:56

Bennett. Classic English rose, clever, wise, witty Smile

Rhubarbgarden · 25/07/2013 22:55

Staid, middle-aged frump.
