Dear Wills and Kate, I think he looks like a John.

(DH suggested George Michael as middle names. He said it's what Diana would have wanted Grin)

I wonder if this means Charles won't be known as King George VIII when he takes the throne? Has it always been the practice for the heir to throne to take another name? Queen Elizabeth obviously didn't be I though the previous monarchs had.

AmandaPandtheTantrumofDoom · 24/07/2013 19:26

Lovely name. But honestly, very dull to have another Prince/King George.

CheerfulYank · 24/07/2013 18:52

Ha! I win!

Although having heard how many Georges there have been, I wish they'd gone with something else. Nice though.

BewleyBear · 24/07/2013 18:35

Good strong traditional name. To be fair they didn't have a huge choice though.

QueLinda · 24/07/2013 18:35

A bit dull but it never was going to be something fabulous and unusual.

George is sweet, a nice name.

Phoebe47 · 24/07/2013 18:33

Just read on BBC news that the baby is to be called George Alexander Louis. Think George is pretty boring myself. Wish Alexander had been his first name.

Predictable! But a nice name.

George Alexander Louis.

(It should have been Arthur!)

MissStrawberry · 24/07/2013 18:24

George Alexander Louis

Lovely!

Happymum22 · 24/07/2013 18:23

Won't be Henry or James I expect as Henry is Harry's full name and James is Kate's brother. Someone told me Oliver is also unlikely as Oliver Cromwell was anti-royal.

I'd love it to be Arthur or Alfred.
Expect it may be Alexander or George.. Really hope not though!!

nirish14 · 24/07/2013 18:22

sorry meant to say that's the official name just announced :)

nirish14 · 24/07/2013 18:21

George alexander Louis :)

ringaringarosy · 24/07/2013 18:09

i think george or henry,i can see them with a george or henry.I dontt hink they will go for Alexander, its too bland,George and Henry are both classic but have a bit of character,Alex is just very meh to me.

Dramamama · 24/07/2013 18:06

Well I love George it's a classic (and also ds's name) it's also good as a little boys and more adult name which is partly why I chose it. A massive part of me wants them to call him something completely out there just for a change. But my money is on George or Alexander

AmandaPandtheTantrumofDoom · 24/07/2013 17:31

Cromwell

AmandaPandtheTantrumofDoom · 24/07/2013 17:31

Hmmm maybe not. Edgar - doesn't get on well in Lear though

itsallshitandmoreshit · 24/07/2013 17:31

I want Oliver, is there a reason Oliver is not in the running?

soontobeslendergirl · 24/07/2013 17:26

Won't be Richard.......Dickie - really?

Nope - t'will be Edgar

AmandaPandtheTantrumofDoom · 24/07/2013 17:24

Richard.

Not too popular. Not too weird.

Not Andrew, Edward, Charles or James as all too close family.

Hang on. What's her dad called. Not that either.

Not Alexander or David. Politicians.

womanofthehouse · 24/07/2013 17:23

I was on the phone to my MIL earlier today discussing names, she reckons Spencer could be a middle name because of Diana's maiden name. And I think Kate's dads name (Michael) will also be included somewhere.

Jinty64 · 24/07/2013 17:17

Alexander Charles Michael Philip.

VerySmallSqueak · 24/07/2013 17:15

Barry.

coco87 · 24/07/2013 17:11

Wolfgang. They are German after all.
