What do you think of Isabella Sofía?

Do you think it's a good name? You can say what you like, I am not pregnant so you can say how awful it is, etc. Wink
but if I have a daughter I would like to use that name. I have always loved Sofía/Sophia, but my father named my sister Sofía (after I told him it was my favourite name for my daughter and I was 25 years old!).
I got married and my niece (husband's side) is called Sophie. One of my friends is called Sofía as well. Husband tradition is not to name after living people, my tradition people would feel honoured if I name my child after them.

Do you think Sofía and Sophie are too close?

Both beautiful names and I think that they do go well together.

Quite popular for a good reason. I don't get choosing unusual/imaginative/sometimes just frankly bizarre names just for the sake of avoiding a popular name.

Lovely names, but v popular & not keen on two names ending in a.
Sofia is a beautiful name, but there are a lot in your life.
Maybe you will stumble upon another favourite if you are open to it.

Beautiful but both very popular; you would be dating your daughter firmly as a child of the 2010s.

I think its a very pretty name, my first thought about it was that it sounded like a member of the Spanish Royal family.

Both lovely, classical names. There are LOADS of Sofias and Isabellas around, but if you love the names that shouldn't let that put you off.

Although I must say (teach me to read the OP properly...) she isn't Isabella, she's Isabel which cuts out the 2 ending-with-a name thing.

Both nice but exceptionally popular however you spell them. If you shouted out either name in a public place where I live about 30 little girls would come running.

Sorry but I think they only work together if said in an Italian accent! Otherwise I think it sounds a bit odd have two names that end in 'a'.

I think Sofia is fine for a middle name but too close to Sophie to use as first name.

Love both names! No they aren't too similar & I think if you have your heart set on that name then go for it.It doesn't matter what people think.Many people had their reservations on my sons name but I stuck to my guns & still adore his name.If you don't do it you may regret it :)
