Surname-y boys names

JollyShortGiant · 10/07/2013 21:09

DS is Harris. DH and I commit the Mumsnet sin of liking surname-y names. We are Scottish though where it is more acceptable. DC2 is due next month and we are trying to find a name we both like enough to use. We have a girl's name we like.

Some boy's names we like so far are:
Cooper
Campbell
Cameron
Fletcher
Ramsay
Leighton
Murray

But none of these seem quite right. Please give me some more suggestions!

Really not keen on Leighton!

JollyShortGiant · 11/07/2013 14:53

I love Forbes and Innes but DH isn't keen. DH loves Leighton but I'm not convinced. We are getting there with finding a middle ground though :) this thread has been really helpful.

How about Innes?

Two Scots of my acquaintance:

Grierson
Granger

My father was Campbell, his brother was Ross, but to me that's not quite the same vibe.

Parker - I love it and considered it for dd2 whether she was a boy or girl :)
