Surname-y boys names

DS is Harris. DH and I commit the Mumsnet sin of liking surname-y names. We are Scottish though where it is more acceptable. DC2 is due next month and we are trying to find a name we both like enough to use. We have a girl's name we like.

Some boy's names we like so far are:
Cooper
Campbell
Cameron
Fletcher
Ramsay
Leighton
Murray

But none of these seem quite right. Please give me some more suggestions!

Oh no, we're having a wobble. DC2 is coming by ELCS on Thursday and we've just changed our minds on the girls name and now are undecided in the boy name. Argh!

McGregor, Mac for short.

Both my DC have this as their middle name (outs self and waves to anyone who knows me. Smile)

I have a Cooper and I absolutely love the name. Ir is very well received in Scotland. My English family were somewhat different, clearly they have no taste.

The MN approved names I am currently getting include ice and aslice (!) I have used up lots of boys names and am v open to suggestions

I love surname first names for boys - especially ones with a Scots or irish bent - they are so strong and manly and rugged and dashing.

And I don't care. Grin

One of my sons has one of the names mentioned on here, and it is very, very unusual - have yet to meet another one. I suspect there many be a baby or three lurking in the UK with the name now but he is nearly 14. And no, I'm not telling. It's his name, and I'm preserving it for posterity and exclusivity.

Thought of Massie today.

There's a few I like but can't have for various reasons (close friends or family members, people I don't like with the same name).

We are liking Flynn and Ridley. Haven't raised Colby with DH yet but I like it too.

I'm loving Macaulay at the moment but I can't see DH going for it. I shall let you know when we come to a decision!

I knew a very handsome and cool Ramsay once, I've always loved the name but my DH not so keen. I knew a Hammond too, not so cool! Campbell is gorgeous and Cameron is good too.
