What are your favourite one-syllable boys' names? First name will be Peter.

Thanks all!

I think Peter John sounds lovely. Gus is my favourite single syllable boys name, but I don't think it goes with Peter very well.

IHeartKingThistle · 09/07/2013 12:17

Ooh I like Peter Jack!

donttellalfred · 09/07/2013 07:51

Jack or Miles both definite contenders too.

Oh good grief! Freudian typo or what. I meant, he's going to end up with a second middle name and surname is quite long, but I'd like to give him a second name that he can use if he wants, and for some reason I think one syllable would sound nice with the rest of it.

Not Peter Mark. Tis a big Irish beauty parlour chain.

I like Miles.

I know a Peter Francis and had a relative named Peter Stanislaus. Why one-syllable?

Wbdn28 · 09/07/2013 01:48

John and George are both very nice. John is quite unusual at the moment.

Any reason why it has to be a 1-syllable middle name?

TrucksAndDinosaurs · 08/07/2013 23:52

Miles?
Ian?
Carl?
Hans?
Mark?
Noel?
Ray?
Sam?
Tbh I like James but thought I'd try and help.

donttellalfred · 08/07/2013 21:36

Some great suggestions here, thanks. I especially like John, James and George. A couple of the others we can't use because of family reasons. I love Peter Rex too. Hmm lots of food for thought, don't know if we have found the one yet...

DS's middle names are Peter Paul, despite not being at all religious.
