I love the name Daisy - DH hates it so we'll never use it Hmm

What names do you love that DP has vetoed?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Constance

Girls
Ianthe
Agatha
Edith
Iris
Niamh

Boys
Arthur is the only one that sticks out
but we never agreed on ANY boys names so the list for that would be endless. It's a good job we had girls :)

Wishfulmakeupping · 07/07/2013 10:05

Should have added that we did agree on a lovely name in the end that doesn't feel like a compromise

weebarra · 07/07/2013 10:01

Almost all girls' names. We can't really agree at all.
I really like Astrid and Matilda but they have been vetoed.

isisisis · 07/07/2013 09:50

Atticus - I love it, DH hates it. Fortunately we're having a girl so have agreed to disagree.

NooMyx · 07/07/2013 09:47

Linus and August.

He says any kids of ours are bound to be odd enough without names like that to burden them. Yet suggests stuff like Ohm, Watt and Volt himself... Confused

Wishfulmakeupping · 07/07/2013 08:10

He hates Henry which is my favourite boys name ever and Arthur he vetoed.
Girls names he didn't like- Francesca, Ivy, Edith, Elsie, Betsy, Josephine all too old fashioned

BoyMeetsWorld · 07/07/2013 08:03

Anjou, I feel your pain. I'm pg at the moment & DH hates all the names I love so I'm having to compromise to names I just 'like' :(

Vetoed girls names:
Emerald
Autumn
Odette
Lisette

Vetoed boys names:
Jasper
Julian

God. EVERYTHING! We have 2 DS & both pregnancies were spent by me suggesting names and by DH saying "no". No suggestions of his own, mind. Helpful.

Sebastien & Hugo ("too posh")
Ezra, Caleb & Casper ("too Old Testament")
Iggy, Ziggy, Spike & Wolfie ("they're not names" - he had a point I guess)
Etienne ("we're not French")
Diggory ("not a chance")
