twin boy name suggestions?

We are having such a hard time agreeing on names. Both of us being Irish, originally I did want typical Irish names. Now, after going through loads of them, I hate them all. Surname being 'McKenna' I'm finding is so difficult to find first names that flow haha.

I personally like Leyton and Tait. My partner likes Tommy and Patrick (no way is that happening)

Anyone want to throw some suggestions at me? We both have big families, which is a pain. Made up of mainly boys.

Thanks in advance.

Simon
Zachary / Zac

Harris / Harrison
Joseph

@TheRealFellatio you sound too much like my partner. Is he on here somewhere telling you to say that haha. I cant stand Paddy or Seamus, dear god. My poor boys would be traumatised

@hardbeingme ah believe me, he's wrecking my head at the moment. I didn't realise the names cause so many arguments haha.

@StitchAteMySleep We have an Ossian and Toran already in the family. I do like Quinn and Elliot though :)

@FeegleFion Kenny McKenna, poor guy haha. Sure, you're winning me over with those 2 though. I'll have to talk to the boss ;)

@forevergreek Jago is a bit 'out there'

I LOVE Paddy and Seamus but I know most Irish people detest them!

TheRealFellatio · 03/07/2013 16:38

Lulu90 · 03/07/2013 16:29

@Touchmybum it is really scary you're right. Don't really like Theo or Oscar what about Brady?

Touchmybum · 03/07/2013 16:25

Ah sure they will have their names a long time - it's all very well liking names but actually choosing someone's name for life is a scarey prospect!!

Cian and Theo? (that would avoid the two n's!) or Cian and Oscar?

Lulu90 · 03/07/2013 16:21

@forevergreek I love Quinn and Theon, I hadn't heard that one before. Thank you

@MerryMarigold rain on my parade haha. I love Barney. He definitely won't, no.

@Touchmybum I just didn't want both names ending in 'n'. I know I'm a pain

Lulu90 · 03/07/2013 16:18

@MerryMarigold I'm 21 weeks now. Aw they're lovely names. James will be a middle name for 1 of them

OP posts:
Touchmybum · 03/07/2013 16:17

Cian and Ben or Cian and Hayden then? :)

MerryMarigold · 03/07/2013 16:16

Ralph is awful. Sorry.

I liked Barney and Xavier, but I am guessing your dh won't. He sounds like mine!

forevergreek · 03/07/2013 16:15

Kian
Quinn
Otto
Otis
Theon
Aiden

Lulu90 · 03/07/2013 16:14

@Touchmybum I do like Benjamin, I also like Hayden.

@TeamEdward oh dear haha, I couldn't do that.

What about Ralph? Little Ralphy McKenna

MerryMarigold · 03/07/2013 16:13

Btw, how long have you got to go? My twins were Tamsin and James until 2 weeks before I had them and realised those names were just not for our family. I am so grateful I didn't call them those names now!

Lulu90 · 03/07/2013 16:12

@MerryMarigold to be honest that is probably what will happen. We have a list and I'm sure when we see them there will be 2 that fit haha.

MerryMarigold · 03/07/2013 16:12

They could be Team Bernie!

Think you should go with Cian if that's one you agree on lol!
I like Biblical names personally. Saul is quite unusual? I like Josh, David, Benjamin, Adam (I don't actually like all the ones I suggested, just trying to get a 'sense' of the sort of names you might both like!!)

Not the oldie ones then!!

What about Louis/Lewis? Haydn? Scott?

MerryMarigold · 03/07/2013 16:09

Lulu, it was a compromise which worked for us - I called him Olly and his Dad calls him Oliver! The other option, which I did with the twins, was to wait until they were born. Jude had no name for a week. And my dd had no name for a good 4 days. Dh was shattered going to and from the hospital and looking after ds1 and pretty much went with my suggestions.
