Hebe.

read your greek goddess/muse type stories though, DD1 was horrified when I mentioned someone on here was thinking of calling their daughter Antigone..... " nice enough name but do they actually KNOW the story of Oedepius at all"...(she's an ancient historian )

I mean Pandora is nice, but to name a child after someone who released all the badness into the world?

I wanted Juno or Hero. DP didn't. We agreed on Hera or Artemis - settled on Artemis :)

Thyra

Call her that, and not only will she have an awesome name, but everyone will wonder whether it was you or her father who enjoyed the video game Gauntlet in the 80s.

What Sunnysummer said. Not Medea!

Sunnysummer · 06/07/2013 00:02

Medea killed her children, it's a tricky association.

Love so many of the names on this thread, though! Will have to convince DH to get to work on a DD Wink

williaminajetfighter · 05/07/2013 23:11

Medea. Meh-day-ah. I love it but nobody else seems to!

Oriunda · 05/07/2013 19:39

All of the above plus Persephone (since we are clearly going for a goddess theme). I have always dreamed of having a DD called Persephone but I had a (wonderful) DS instead!

Hebe is lovely.

I always thought it was pronounced "Hear-a" well that's how they say it on Battlestar Galactica

Thea is lovely too, as is Thalia, though the Thalia I know pronounces the 'h' so it is "Th-ah-leea", which to me is nicer than "Tal-ee-a".

badtime · 01/07/2013 10:40

Leto
Echo
Eris
Leda
Niobe
Rhea
Dido
Fauna
Nona
Pomona

(Leto is my favourite. You may want to read about who some of these names belonged to before you use them. For example, Leda sounds nice until you think of the swan issue)

Oh, and Xena!
