What other boys names might I like?

Hello all,

I think we're quite sorted on girls names and as far as boys names go there's a few I like but I'm not sure I love any of them. Hubby is fixed on Bobby so I'd like to provide some alternatives.

The names I quite like are:

Bobby
Elliot
Monty
Perry
Tom/Tommy

Any ideas please?

I would wait until the baby is born, I had names in my head for both my DD and DS, but changed my mind after I had them - and ideas just popped into my head that I never in a million years would have normally thought of!

Bobby has a completely different feel to the other names on your list.

Bobby in my neck of the woods would be a definite working class name where the others, even Tommy are a bit more upper class.

the equivalent shortening would be Rob rather than Bobby.

I'd say it's a bit like William, the posher shortening would be Will and the less poss would be Billy.

So,

as alternatives to Bobby i would give you:

Billy
Brandon
Freddie

Similar to your alternatives I would say are:

Miles
Harry
Will

Tom or Elliot for me.

Prefer Rob(bie) to Bobby (makes me think of policemen)

Really, really don't like Monty (dog's name) or Perry (Harry Enfield's Kevin sidekick)
