I'm not currently pg - just wondering what your thoughts are about Julian? I really like it, but no-one I know seems to! Generally, from who I've spoken to, the opinion is that it's effeminate, in the same way that Sebastian is (another boys name I love, incidentally!)

I always think of the sci-fi writer Julian May. Who's a woman. I think it's quite a cool name for a woman. Rubbish for a man . . .

Julian is wet with a side order of soggy.

And reminds me of that insufferable twat from the Famous Five.

TWinklyLittleStar · 19/06/2013 13:28

Oh I like it. Not pregnant either but it was on my hypothetical list.

MolotovCocktail · 19/06/2013 13:25

Oh, and its not Sebastian or Tarquin Grin

Ah, although I really like Julian, it wouldn't be the name of a DS of mine - I've had that name chosen for a while (we have 2 DDs :) )

Nothing wrong with the name but this feels like a female name which has been made male. I.e. Julia to Julian rather than the usual other way round! Too girly for any self respecting older teenage lad in my opinion! Think ahead to the future!

Lovely proper mans name not all cutesy. And I am really really opinionated

Witt · 19/06/2013 13:20

Love it, but then I also love Sebastien as a name

MolotovCocktail · 19/06/2013 13:20

Fair enough, but why?
