QueenOfCats · 07/06/2013 22:59

Love it! Smile

miffybun73 · 07/06/2013 22:56

Love it :)

Sinkingfeeling · 07/06/2013 22:30

I absolutely love it and wish we'd been brave enough to use it for dd3. Silas Marner is one of my favourite novels, and Eppie is a lovely nickname.

Mumblyboo · 07/06/2013 22:28

yes it was the seven brides ref that has made me love it since a child....

TheReverseStitch · 07/06/2013 22:15

I wanted it, with the nn Eppie because I have loved it since I read Silas Marner at school. DH veto'd it though Sad

Chunkamatic · 07/06/2013 22:07

I love it. Means "my love is in her" (or similar!) and it would have been a name my DD would have had.

Never had a DD though, so you can have my permission to use it instead!

LondonBus · 07/06/2013 22:07

Go on, I dare you!

SneakyBiscuitEater · 07/06/2013 22:04

I like it. Go for it.

WhiteHairReally · 07/06/2013 22:04

Isn't there a journalist, Hepzibah Anderson who wrote Chastened: The Unexpected Story of My Year without Sex ?

IControlSandwichMonkey · 07/06/2013 22:03

I knew a lovely one. Middle name was Japonica.

I really rather like it.

2children2cats · 07/06/2013 22:00

I knew a lovely one that went by hepsie.

Devora · 07/06/2013 21:55

When I was a teenager we had a family friend called Hephzibah who took me under her wing, taught me piano, taught me about feminism, then sadly died young [goes misty-eyed].

So I have a great fondness for the name. I'm not convinced your dd will thank you for it, though - it's so far out of fashion it may yet come back the other side Smile

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 07/06/2013 21:47

Eppie from Silas Marner.

I love it but nowhere near brave enough!

Sheshelob · 07/06/2013 21:44

Carrie's War.

Love it.

Floggingmolly · 07/06/2013 21:42

Ridiculous Hmm

BoffinMum · 07/06/2013 21:38

Bloody hell. No.

Earnshaw · 07/06/2013 21:36

Grin AKiss

I went to school with a Hep.

TheYamiOfYawn · 07/06/2013 21:36

Love it.

ThwartedbyMum · 07/06/2013 21:33

I think of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers too! I like it.

AKissIsNotAContract · 07/06/2013 21:33

I like it. The only downside is if it gets shortened to Hep, especially if your surname starts with A, B or C

shallweshop · 07/06/2013 21:30

Didn't mean to double post - it's not that bad!

cupcake78 · 07/06/2013 21:30

Isn't that a witches name from some children's programme or book?

shallweshop · 07/06/2013 21:29

Sorry, its a no from me.

shallweshop · 07/06/2013 21:29
