I don't want to keep asking friends as if we do name our baby boy a name they didn't like I don't want them to feel awkward. our choices so far

  • Ralph
  • Stanley
  • Dennis
  • Teddy
  • Albie

I love Dennis for a dog!

Ralph means puke. Sorry.
Stanley, it's ok, it's been around for a decade now and I should have accepted it by now but it still seems 'old man'.
Teddy/Edward - I know it's the most popular but it's my favourite.
Albie - not my taste. I don't like Albert either. I prefer Robert.

Albert and Alfie are just not to my taste.. Robert and Edward are more to my taste but I know they'd be too popular for some!

I like Albie and Stanley, love Edward but not Teddy, prefer Ted/Ned. Not keen on the others, sorry.

Please don't call your child Dennis.

Albie is great, I also like Teddy.

Sorry all "old man down the pub" names except Edward.

Agree with Remus, I like Teddy as a nn, but really don't like the rest. I think they all sound like old men's names, sorry.

But people have very different tastes- I think you'd probably hate the names on my shortlist!

MortifiedAdams · 07/06/2013 19:15

Ted rather than Teddy. Dont really like the rest tbh buf as long as you and dh like it!

exoticfruits · 07/06/2013 19:14

I like Edward but not Teddy- don't like the rest.

Love Teddy as nn for Edward, or even for Laurence. Don't like the others at all, sorry.
