I am losing the plot slightly, especially with girls names, 11 weeks with DC2 and it seems the most important thing in the world that I have ideas for potential names without looking at the damn baby name book that seems stuffed with utter bizarre choices.

I just need inspiration!!!! So if you were going to have a baby tomorrow what would you call him/her? No restrictions on surnames or matched sibsets or anything.

Some lovely and underused (IMO) names here. Plus a few to add to the boy short list though DH may never agree to some of them!

It's so interesting finding out what everyone's faves are. So varied! Thank you everyone :) and keep em coming.

We had decided to call our DD after her grandmother and great grandmother so her first name was Elizabeth - then totally out of the blue she was so feisty from birth - well it only took 2 hours so she was wide awake and inspecting everything!- that she was 'Libby' and we had not even discussed that - have fun but be flexible perhaps?
I do have friends for whom the way their children were named still rankles - usually they were exhausted and hubby took it upon himself to do it his way! But I cannot imagine my DH doing something like that Hmm

CheckpointCharlie · 01/06/2013 21:03

Niamh, Robyn, Lucy, Katie, Amelia. My DDs names are in there!
