Can we ask what you chose? One of your options is my name so more than usually curious!
Hope you and LO happily united now

MrsSchadenfreude · 03/06/2013 22:07

There are three Serenas in DD2's class (and the rest seem to be called Sophia or Megan). Juliette is nice. Tansy is hideous.

chickieno1 · 03/06/2013 21:34

Elodie or Juliette.

Good luck with birth

IsThisAGoodIdea · 03/06/2013 16:02

Ottilie sounds like utterly to me.

RubyGrace17 · 30/05/2013 19:36

I love Elodie. If I didn't already have an Eloisa, I'd consider it if we ever had another baby! Good luck!

Juliette every time Smile ( though she will spend her life spelling it out if she stays in England....Juliet being more "obvious" spelling).
good luck with LO

my sister has an elodie, an ottilie and an agatha!

calypso2008 · 30/05/2013 13:24

Or, Oh-my-sweet-baby-cutie-blue-eyes! Grin

Maybe you should decide before Smile

ukfirestorm · 30/05/2013 12:19

Why don't you wait 'til you see her, then look at her little face and decide!

calypso2008 · 30/05/2013 12:10

Ottile is a gorgeous name. Elodie is also nice.

Congratulations and good luck with the birth Smile

ukfirestorm · 30/05/2013 12:05

Like that.

Merryn would be my pick from your other choices - great name. How about Merryn Juliette?

ZolaBuddleia · 30/05/2013 10:04

Not a fan of Tansy or Serena. Any spelling of Juliet is lovely. Merryn feels a bit JR Tolkien to me.

jamtoast12 · 30/05/2013 09:24

Merryn and Julliette are lovely! Good luck with birth :)

ukfirestorm · 30/05/2013 08:47

If this baby does hurry up we will be stuck with consuela or marigold!

The longer this pregnancy goes on the more we change our minds,
worried elodie is too popular, and that ottilie sound too much like utterly so:
So we are looking now at Merryn, Tansy, Julliette, and Serena.

Elodie

Emsmaman · 28/05/2013 15:20

Elodie was on our shortlist Smile
I think you will have a lot of people mishearing and saying Emily though, as Emily is super popular at the moment!

BerryLellow · 28/05/2013 15:18

I like both :)

They aren't that popular, it's just more unusual sounding than evie, grace, lily etc so you remember when you hear it IMO.

French girls' names always sound so lovely I think. But then I have Cornish named boys so I have no experience in this field :o

GW297 · 28/05/2013 14:58

I only know one Elodie and no Ottilies!

allinatizz · 28/05/2013 13:55

"Why is everyone calling their child Ottilie?"

The only person I've ever heard of who called their child Ottilie is me (and DH Grin ). Love it, naturally, but also think Elodie is beautiful.

FWIW we didn't even have a list of names before DD was born and it just jumped out of the book at us when she was a few hours old. Since naming DD we have heard of one or two others, but usually they are 90 year old Grannies (Like Mehrida's Gran). We just liked it.

Is is getting popular then? We must have started a trend!

CalamityJones · 28/05/2013 13:49

Ottilie is a really beautiful name. Best of luck!

ZolaBuddleia · 28/05/2013 13:44

Love Manon.

JumpingJackSprat · 28/05/2013 10:12

Otillia is nice, otillie is not imo. i like elodie out of your choices. dont like marcie i prefer marie, marcie looks like a misspelling to me.
