I'm not overly fussed about how well they go with the other DCs. After all as an adult how often do you say yours and your siblings names together?

My names:
Cooper
Thomas
Woodrow (Woody)

DPs names (as I'm pretending to humour him):
Thompson
Gibson
Hendrix
Wolfric

Last name is double barralled. First part rhymes with tasted and second is castle. Other DCs are Lilly, Jack and Alexandra.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Chavvytastic · 09/05/2013 14:35

Henry is lovely.

Chavvytastic · 09/05/2013 14:35

Actually looking at the names of your other children I think to call your child anything other than the Thomas on your lists would give him an inferiorty complex as he grows up and wonders why he got a freaky name and all his siblings normal ones!

Kyrptonite · 09/05/2013 14:35

My original list was Charlie, Henry, Reggie etc. which DP liked until the scan when he completely changed his mind Hmm

I don't think I would actually use any but Thomas or Cooper from the lists. I just needed to be reassured that the rest were awful so I can work on DP!

FoxyRevenger · 09/05/2013 14:34

Hmm I'm not keen on any of them - the most normal is Thomas but I find it a bit weedy sounding.

Erm...Carter? Fraser? Jonathan - could be Jon or Jonny...?

yousankmybattleship · 09/05/2013 14:34

I like the bonkersness of your list. Please go with Thomas though. Poor child!

Chavvytastic · 09/05/2013 14:33

Personally I think Wolfric is an improvement (minor one) on Woodrow.

Thomas is the best from your lists. The others would make me snigger.

Sorry but you said be brutal!

unebagpipe · 09/05/2013 14:33

Only Thomas. Think in your head about your child using the other names to introduce himself in the future, and others reactions. (Please).

starfishmummy · 09/05/2013 14:33

Thomas

JojoMags · 09/05/2013 14:31

I'm sorry I just can't get over how nuts your list is. Is the craziest ever. Please don't use anything other than Thomas. The rest sound like the cast of some way over the top American spoof.

Machli · 09/05/2013 14:31

If I had to choose one, HAD to, Thomas would be the only I would consider.

squoosh · 09/05/2013 14:30

Grin at Wolfric, especially as all your other kids have such Top 10 type names. Maybe he feels this is his last chance, or maybe he realises he has no chance!

How does someone who likes Mercutio, Amadeus, Wolfric and Hemingway end up with a Jack and a Lily?

From your list I like Woodrow best. And suddenly, I'm coming round to Wolfric............little Wolfie Wink

CockyFox · 09/05/2013 14:27

I would go with Thomas I think. Wolfric is the only one I think is totally barking though so you could get away with any ofthe others I think although now it has been pointed out I think a little Woody wwould get teased as he got older.

Thomas.

I like unusual names, but your other choices seem quite clumsy.

Your other children have lovely names so it would be a shame to land this one with an ugly name....! If I had to chose one of them, I suppose it would be Cooper.

RooneyMara · 09/05/2013 14:25

Oh God sorry not cooper. Who wrote that? I meant Woody. Woody is Ok. Cooper is, well a bit odd.

Littlehousesomewhere · 09/05/2013 14:25

I quite like them all except Gibson.

The best are cooper, woodrow and wolfric.

Thomas is a bit dull, although it does sound like your last name is interesting so maybe that doesn't matter as much.

RooneyMara · 09/05/2013 14:24

Thomas or Cooper or W - hang on it's meant to be Wulfric I think. NOT Hendrix.

I am dying to know what rhymes with Tasted. Wasted? Basted? Grin

You don't have to say!

JamesJazz · 09/05/2013 14:21

Literally the only one it would be kind to name a child is Thomas. Which, fyiw, is a very nice name.

You CANNOT call a British child Woody- it's a slang term for erection.

Your dh's taste in names is bonkers Hmm

DonnyOsmondsTeeth · 09/05/2013 14:19

Wolfric is FAB, with Wolfie as a nn.

Goldenhandshake · 09/05/2013 14:19

Thomas and Cooper are the best of the bunch, the others are inflicting some clear cut, bullying inducing names on a child imo, please remember children can be very cruel.

fortifiedwithtea · 09/05/2013 14:16

TBH the only one I like is Hendrix, that is a very cool name.

Try and imagine what shortening/nickname or hell other kids will give him with the other names.

smogwod · 09/05/2013 14:15

If you like Woody, how about Edward? Fits with your other dcs and would give him more options as he gets older

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 09/05/2013 14:15
  1. Thomas
  1. The others.
DrSeuss · 09/05/2013 14:14

None of them! Sorry!

Joseph
Michael
James
Samuel
Matthew

thermalsinapril · 09/05/2013 14:11

Go for Thomas - it's a classic and fits best with your other DCs' names.
