I find Dominic a bit wet.

Daniel. I think Dominic is rather 80s and dated. It also makes me think of the poor quality pizza chain.

Daniel is lovely and Dan and Danny are much nicer nns than Dom or Nic.

Dominic! much nicer name and there are baby Daniels all over the place at the moment.
