Inspiration needed.... A biblical name for the sister of Elijah

I'm a bit stuck for ideas really, got a boys list as long as your arm.
I would love an unusual biblical girls name, unfortunately my boring conservative DH will not agree to something really different.
I've trawled the usual baby name websites to no avail....
All suggestions welcome, thanks.

Susannah (there are variants, like Susanna, Suzanna etc; however) is a pretty name.

Myra is biblical.

Talitha (nn, if wanted, could be Tally or Thea?)

Tamara

Zemira

Not Delilah! Elijah and Delilah?!

PenelopePortrait · 05/05/2013 22:15

Miriam was Moses sister I think.

I still love Hephzibar but if your DH has vetoed that, then he won't like Yoshabel? (Moses wife).

DontstepontheMomeRaths · 05/05/2013 22:14

Esther and Ruth are favourites of mine.

Miriam is awesome. The Bible says she was one of the leaders of Isreal
alongside Moses and Aaron. I particularly like that!!

Thanks for the suggestions, sadly several, including Bathsheba and Hephzibah, have been vetoed by DH. I like Tabitha, Martha and Phoebe but there seems to be quite a lt of new babies locally with those names. Keep them coming, because she going to need a name! Smile
