Just thought I'd bump this in case there's any newbies to give their opinions..... Still struggling to decide, although we have added Matilda to our list as well

Oooooh I've done a quick tally and all 3 names have equal likes and severe dislikes

I really can't decide

Love Ariadne - don't like the other two at all, sorry.

twinklestar2 · 03/05/2013 23:23

I only like Ariadne out of your list.

I dislike henrietta as I don't like female versions of male names.

Thewhingingdefective · 03/05/2013 22:52

I'm not so keen on Ariadne, but Tabitha and Henrietta were both serious contenders for us.

Tabitha
Henrietta
Ariadne

SneakyBiscuitEater · 03/05/2013 22:42

Sorry ForeverGreek I stand corrected

The Ariadne I know is in the North West of the UK so may have a touch of the regional accent in the last syllable? calm down calm down

forevergreek · 03/05/2013 21:34

Ariadne is more ah- ree- ad- neigh, than arry-ad-knee

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 03/05/2013 17:53

In just the order you wrote them Smile

SneakyBiscuitEater · 03/05/2013 15:04

Arry (like Harry with no H) add knee

gillywillywoo · 03/05/2013 15:03

How do you say Ariadne?

Purplebananas · 03/05/2013 14:59
  1. Ariadne. Prefer Arianna/Ariane though.
  2. Tabitha

Henrietta wouldn't even rank as I think it's an ugly name.

Ariadne is wonderful. I know one who is two and it hasn't been shortened to anything yet.

Tabatha would be next

Henrietta would be in last place for me sorry.

runningforme · 03/05/2013 14:32

Ariadne....don't like the others sorry! NN Ari, Ria, Adi

squoosh · 03/05/2013 14:30

Henriette doesn't even make third place. I've kicked Henrietta off the thread completely. Bye bye Henrietta!

MummyPig24 · 03/05/2013 14:20

Henrietta ( we had a pig once called this and I just can't get my head around a child being called it!)

Frikadellen · 02/05/2013 13:12
  1. Ariadne
  2. Henrietta
  3. Tabitha

I really don't like Tabitha sorry

thermalsinapril · 01/05/2013 16:04
  1. Ariadne
  2. Henrietta
  3. Tabitha
thegreylady · 01/05/2013 15:44

I like all three equally. The only little Henrietta I know has nn Hetty which is really sweet.I also know a grown up one who is always called Henry.
I like Tabitha-makes me think of Bewitched :) I think Ariadne would be just third on my list.

Henrietta
Tabitha
Ariadne

I like them all but think Ariadne might be a bit hard for a baby to 'wear' if that makes sense?

TenthMuse · 01/05/2013 11:47

Tabitha - just beautiful. Don't let the 'cat' thing put you off!
Ariadne - pretty and I like the mythological connection but agree it sounds a bit try-hard

Henrietta - really dislike this - sounds too 'starchy' and buttoned up, and somehow manages to sound frilly and harsh at the same time.
