Hi

I have five boys Kyle, Cameron, Innes, Harris and Dexter.

We are expecting boy no 6 in 8 weeks but are struggling with a name.

The older four obviously have scottish names and Dexter is our wild card name. He was to be Callen, but when I held him I knew he was a Dexter.

The names we have on the list are Theo, Milo and Elias, but none really grab me.

Sadly our little Dexter passed away at 13 weeks last year, and I think I've kinda put his name on a pedestal, and want a name as lovely as his for his little brother.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

So sorry about your Dexter.

I think Monty is a great name and has a little quirk to it, like Dexter does.

Congratulations on your impending arrival.

I love Xander but Dh doesn't like it. Not keen on Lewis or Arran . Lachlan is lovely but already in the family. Dh has also vetoed Angus and Blair in the past.

Thank you for the suggestions. Dh is so fussy hence struggling with a name. If I had a 100 names to give him he'd probably only like 1 or 2. I may have to do the whole I just laboured for x hours, let's call him y!

Would you have Lewis if you already have a Harris?

So sorry to hear about your wee Dexter, very sad.

What about Elliot?

or Mackenzie (Mac) Fraser, Lachlan, Alexander (Xander or Sandy) Blair, Arran, Angus (Gus)

Any good??
