Nanny I have no middle name and its rubbish! Our son has two :)

makingdoo · 27/04/2013 00:11

I like Ruby Lynn or Ruby Jade. I personally think Karenza is too long a middle name for Ruby (although I do love the name itself).

I also liked Ruby May but as another poster mentioned it is very common for a middle name at the moment

nannyof3 · 27/04/2013 00:00

How about no middle name.... Thats unusual!!!!!

DonDrapersAltrEgoBigglesDraper · 26/04/2013 23:47

I'm not suggesting they are necessarily are of this generation, although they are undoubtedly going through a massive popularity surge - hardly anyone of our generation has those middle names (a lot of Louises and Janes for us).

My point was that if someone goes to the trouble of starting a thread in baby names looking for middle name suggestions, suggesting Rose/May/Grace is like suggesting the sky is either blue or white. They kind of go without saying.

TwinkleSparkleBling · 26/04/2013 22:23

My Nan was Ruby May. It really gets to me when people go on about May/Rose etc being of this generation.

They are names that have ALWAYS been about. Get over it.

FWIW I like Ruby Faye or Ruby Rose.

babyseal · 26/04/2013 21:01

My Ruby is Ruby Olive, after her great-great Granny.

CPtart · 26/04/2013 20:56

Faye

DonDrapersAltrEgoBigglesDraper · 26/04/2013 20:46

Yeah, it seem the OP did!

I just find it hilarious when people come on and suggest those names specifically for middle names - and actually even more hilarious when OPs like them - are there really people left in the world that need Rose/May/Grace suggested to them?! Grin

fussychica · 26/04/2013 14:41

Sorry Don I love May, though admittedly I was intending to use it more than 20 years ago well before it became popular. I think the OP liked it too (not offended BTW).

Madamecastafiore · 26/04/2013 11:45

Sorry, family joke.

Ruby Ruby Roo!

Madamecastafiore · 26/04/2013 11:44

Roo!

LulaPalooza · 26/04/2013 11:43

Ruby Ruby Ruby (Aah aah aah aah aah aah)

DonDrapersAltrEgoBigglesDraper · 26/04/2013 11:18

Do people really need the names May, Rose or Grace suggested to them when asking for middle name inspiration?

95% of girls from this generation have the middle name May, Rose or Grace - they are so over-used it's untrue. Everybody knows these names - surely it's time to think outside the box even a tiny bit.

Karenza, for instance, is fabulous. It's different and refreshing, and timeless.

Apologies to anyone I've offended, I'm just so over these middle names!!

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 26/04/2013 10:46

Your not 'hour'...

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 26/04/2013 10:45

Before reading your suggestions Catherine popped into my head so of hour three I'd go for Karenza.

Michellephant · 26/04/2013 08:20

If you have a long surname a single syllable name would be best for the middle name I think.

Mae/May is probably the most common middle name choice with Ruby. Ruby Jade would be nice if it wasn't a combination of two different stones that wouldn't actually look nice together! Ruby Faye is like Ruby Mae but less common. Ruby Leigh? I can't think of many middle names! It's the problem that I always have!

jellybeans · 25/04/2013 23:29

I was going to say Mae or Grace too!

How about

Hope
Jade
Eve
Faye
Leah
Leona
Tia
Nicole
Matilda
Cara
Clara

Red Grin

thermalsinapril · 25/04/2013 23:11

Ruby Miranda would be lovely!

nowgotosleep · 25/04/2013 22:52

Ruby Ellen
Ruby Eliza
Ruby Jenna

First 3 that came to mind!

lostinindia · 25/04/2013 22:39

Tuesday

nappydaysagain · 25/04/2013 22:35

Ruby Rose

NKinDXB · 25/04/2013 22:34

Ruby Adele
Ruby Sophia
Ruby Mireille
Ruby Alexa
Ruby Jean
Ruby Renee

I don't think you could have Ruby Lily or Ruby Chloe as they have same 2 syllables with stress on first. Like Karenza though. Pretty and unusual.

littlemonkeychops · 25/04/2013 22:04

Quick update... Ruby May has been vetoed :-(

Ruby Karenza is a (just about) maybe...

Love the idea of Ruby Tuesday lol :-)

Ruby Miranda??
