Girls:

Jemima
Penelope
Viola
Lyra

Boys:

George
Arthur
Benjamin
Robin

Which ones would you pick? And, if you're feeling particularly generous, why?

Are there any others you could suggest based on my likes above?

Jemima - nice
Penelope - love
Viola - ok, pronunciation would become an issue
Lyra - love

Suggest - Cleo

George - nice
Arthur - ok
Benjamin - love
Robin - love

Love all your girls names, especially Penelope/Penny. Unfortunately it wouldn't work with our surname so it's off our list.
Of your boys list the only one I like is George. I'm not keen on Benjamin & Arthur and really dislike Robin for a boy. If I heard the name I would presume it was in reference to a girl (Robyn) which is much nicer!

TenthMuse · 19/04/2013 21:54

They are all fine. Favourites are Viola - very classy - and either Arthur or Robin (both lovely but quite different in style IMO)

charlottehere · 19/04/2013 20:54

Love Penelope, Lyra, jemima, would use Violet nt Viola. Like George and Arthur, not keen on others.

mrspaddy · 19/04/2013 20:54

Also like Robin, love Penny (though you might not want to shorten). George is classic. Very sweet for a little boy. I like Jemima too. Ben or Bejamin are nice.

Would suggest Elsie for a girl. Really love the above suggestion Henry. Gorgeous name too.

Viola and Robin are my favourites Smile

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/04/2013 20:49

Love Robin. Like Lyra best from the girls'. Don't like Viola at all, sorry.

MortifiedAdams · 19/04/2013 20:48

Jemima and George are my favourites and ones I would consider using myself.

I really dislike Robin for a boy but love Robyn for a girl.

Also suggesting Hermione and Fergus.

MummyBurrows · 19/04/2013 20:45

I'd pick Penelope because I love the nn Penny and I'd pick Benjamin because its the name I've got picked out if my bump turns out to be a boy Grin xx

Lyra. Feminine but strong. Robin...just like it

thermalsinapril · 19/04/2013 20:00

Favourite two from each list would be Viola, Penelope, George, Arthur.

Coralie
Juliet
Serena
Louisa

Henry
Felix
Reuben
Jonathan

Beamur · 19/04/2013 19:59

Not a fan of Lyra or Jemima - but love Penelope (nn Penny) also like Voila. I think Penny is a sweet name and works at all ages, Viola or Violet is a classy name, pretty but robust.
Like all your boys names except Robin, but like Rob as a diminutive.
I like the suggestion Edith as well.

Yama · 19/04/2013 19:57

I love Lyra and George and Benjamin.

The others are not for me. The only one I dislike is Viola.

Bowlersarm · 19/04/2013 19:55

There is nothing wrong with any of them! You either like them or you don't but I can't see a criticism if any would be appropriate. I'm not a fan of Penelope or George, but other people would like them.

Pick which one you like.

Witchesbrewandbiscuits · 19/04/2013 19:53

absolutely love jemima! george for boy Smile

SurreyWithAFringeOnTop · 19/04/2013 19:51

For girls, I would pick Viola or Lyra, both very pretty and quite unusual. Jemima and Penelope are a bit prim for me.

For boys, George or Arthur. Fab names. Other two are a bit 'wet'.

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 19/04/2013 19:49

Love Lyra. Mostly due to the books.

Love all the boys names.

Rose
Edith
Elsbeth
