What do you think? I'm convinced I'm having a boy, and not having much luck thinking of names I really, really like

Thanks all!

reuben, it's lovely.

justhayley · 19/04/2013 16:22

I love both but Reuben a little more, there are quite a lot of baby Jacobs & Jakes where I live.

hippoherostandinghere · 16/04/2013 22:20

Biased but I prefer Jacob, it's an awesome name.

Minty82 · 16/04/2013 20:18

Love both; two of my absolute favourites. I prefer Jacob but was slightly put off it when I was pregnant as it's having such a boom thanks to Twilight. Didn't mind choosing a popular name but I didn't want people to think that was what he was named after... Had a DD though so didn't have to decide how much I minded!

Both lovely names.

Queazy · 15/04/2013 20:38

Thanks so much all - it's a really tricky one. I think I'm erring toward Reuben xx

Jacob. It's lovely and I like it when people stick with it (i.e. not Jake). I know a 15 year old one and he really suits it.

I also knew a Reuben who was rather annoying.

atrcts · 14/04/2013 22:43

Jacob!

thermalsinapril · 14/04/2013 22:43

Jacob. (Reuben is like rueful)

pygmy · 14/04/2013 21:41

Jacob

AnythingNotEverything · 14/04/2013 21:00

ShockReuben!

I want one but dh says it reminds him of The Life of Brian. Vetoed here unfortunately.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 14/04/2013 20:56

Jacob

blossombath · 14/04/2013 20:55

I like them both. If it's your first Reuben is very appropriate, being the eldest son of Jacob.
Maybe consider the shortenings/nns to help you decide...would you be happy with a Jake?

deleted203 · 14/04/2013 20:53

Reuben. But it was my grandfather's name and I've always liked it.

Quite like Jacob, though.

Smooshy · 14/04/2013 20:51

Biased vote for Reuben here! Though I do love Jacob as well.

Rhubarbgarden · 14/04/2013 20:08

Jacob at a push. But I don't really like either.

mamasmissionimpossible · 14/04/2013 20:04

Jacob - biased here too Wink

muddledsheep · 14/04/2013 19:53

Both brilliant names, might be slightly biased tho as have one of each! Grin

OneFingerSjupesUpTheYoni · 14/04/2013 19:51

Jacob 100% not biased at all reuben is such a 'non name' for me - i don't know why tho!

ClaraOswald · 14/04/2013 19:48

Reuben over Jacob.

SilveryMoon · 14/04/2013 19:40

I have a Jacob. I do like the name Reuben but much prefer Jacob.

FacebookWanker · 14/04/2013 19:39

I love both those names so I'm not much help. I've always loved Reuben, but then one of DP's friends is a ReuBEN and I thought it would seem strange. We had a girl so problem solved...

JohnSnowsTie · 14/04/2013 19:38

Reuben.
