Week overdue, STILL no boys name...

Currently a week overdue, I wanted Duncan but DH says no, and no to every other suggestion I've made! Rude if you ask me, I'm the one who'll be going through the labour and have put up with pregnancy...!

Will take any suggestions, just not Charlie, Jack, Max, Oliver, George, Alfie, Harry or any other name that is ridiculously popular. Great names just don't want him to be the 5th in his class!

PLEASE HELP!!

Is that where he was conceived Wink I like it. What about Devon?
Bet you're pulling your hair out now!

soontobeslendergirl · 01/04/2013 19:29

What about:

Tate
Dorian
Lyall
Emerson
Frank

Cathycat · 01/04/2013 19:03

I like Lincoln.

rootypig · 01/04/2013 18:56

Dexter is dreadful. Yy to Nathaniel/Nate, Hunter and Anderson. Though the last would be Andy which I think is a bit naff. Lincoln is a verrrry serious name for a boy.

flowerygirl · 01/04/2013 18:38

Our surname begins with J so trying to steer clear of J first names!

Still no baby yet, 11 days overdue now, so fed up!

Love Otis but DH says no :( How about Lincoln as a first name?

Another vote for Jonah like littlemiss that was the name until we found out we were having a girl :)

BNmum · 01/04/2013 16:06

Thinking along the lines of Hunter what about Warwick?

KittenOfDoom · 01/04/2013 15:48

John

gingeme · 01/04/2013 13:45

Any news ?

MortifiedAdams · 30/03/2013 23:31

Tristan
Otis

gingeme · 30/03/2013 23:29

Just to confuse issues is he having a middle name ?

CheshireDing · 30/03/2013 20:46

I love River but we had a girl.

Ralph, Rafe are fab too?

Duncan Hmm ?

flowerygirl · 30/03/2013 19:02

I think Truman is kind of in the Gordon/Norman category...bit geeky?!

Both liked Dexter but really popular round here.

How about Anderson? Or is that too 'surnamey'? Also like Eamon but pretty sure people will just think of Holmes!

KLou111 · 30/03/2013 17:41

Dexter very popular in our parts.

KLou111 · 30/03/2013 17:41

Our son is Euan.
I like Curtis, Travis, Keiran Smile

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 30/03/2013 17:16

I prefer Hunter to Truman in all honesty.

How about Dexter or Holden?

Glad you have a name sorted for a DD!

bridgetsmum · 29/03/2013 23:40

How about Declan?

Don't like Hunter, it's a bit pretentious IMHO sorry x

CityGal29 · 29/03/2013 23:26

Go with Duncan! It's a fantastic name a bit like
Dominic that's never been faddy.
He'll change his mind after - just start calling the baby Duncan :-)

flowerygirl · 29/03/2013 21:25

Thanks for that SanityClause!

I did like Truman but now it has got out to everyone we liked it, all we get are 'hahahaha no not seriously?' comments so it's completely ruined the name for me! Learnt our lesson, next kid we won't tell a soul and just go for what we like.

One name we agree on is Hunter, I absolutely love it, good strong name. But think there will be a lot of raised eyebrows as it's a very hard name for a baby (but great for a man, IMO!) What do you all think?

Here it is!

Snazzynewyear · 29/03/2013 19:50

I have to say, I like Truman. Do you like it? Family and friends will suck it up if they have to.

Of soontobe's list I like Lyall and Elliot.

SanityClause · 29/03/2013 19:48

Seeker did a thread a couple of weeks ago about good old fashioned names that aren't too popular, at the moment. I'll see if I can find it.

(I like Duncan, BTW. What is wrong with him!)

soontobeslendergirl · 29/03/2013 19:44

Hmm - Truman/Duncan - so we are looking for a compromise between those two?

Roderick
Emmerson
Lorne
Lyall
Edgar
Elliot
Innis
Miller
Walker
Willis

flowerygirl · 29/03/2013 18:56

The ONLY suggestion DH has come up with is Truman! We tested it out on family/friends and they all absolutely hated it so I said we couldn't have it, but he is still keen! Or William as it's his Dad's name but I think it's too popular.

Currently 8 days overdue now.. urgh. Don't know if it will be a boy or girl, but girl's name was sorted before we were even trying for a baby! Luckily he agreed on that one at least!
