O'Hara

Hassled · 23/03/2013 16:18

Lots of girls! It's a lovely name, but I can think of 5 Scarlets or Scarletts without really trying.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 23/03/2013 16:24

Passion, life, irrepressible.

Allalonenow · 23/03/2013 16:26

Gone with the Wind

ChippingInIsEggceptional · 23/03/2013 16:26

I think of the MNer's DD that died :(

It is a pretty name, but for me it will always be hers now x

fussychica · 23/03/2013 16:28

Red Lipstick, Gone with the Wind, Scarlet Woman (naughty girl)

Kithulu · 23/03/2013 17:01

O'Gasmeter

Gugglebum · 23/03/2013 17:24

Feisty, feminine, lovely... until someone calls her Scar for short, then it's bad Uncle in the Lion King.

GW297 · 23/03/2013 17:30

Red and Scarlett woman. I do quite like it as a name though I think.

ReluctantBeing · 23/03/2013 17:32

Alarm bell on a register! Sounds like a trouble maker.

TiredFeet · 23/03/2013 17:36

Until recently, gone with the wind. But now know of several little girls/ babies called Scarlett, all known as 'Scar' after a few months. Scarlett I sort of think is ok, but Scar is awful

FlipFlopFloss · 23/03/2013 17:43

Love it. The only Scarlett I know is known as Letty.

TiredFeet · 23/03/2013 17:46

Ooh letty is a sweet nickname, I like that.

FoofFighter · 23/03/2013 18:14

Red

scaevola · 23/03/2013 18:16

Fever.

And Gone With The Wind.

VBisme · 23/03/2013 18:17

Gone with the wind, and I agree, Letty is a lovely NN, (really don't like Scar, which she might decide on when she's a rebellious teen).

artyone · 23/03/2013 18:40

Johansson

Redhead

BikeRunSki · 23/03/2013 18:42

Red

I once knew of sisters called Scarlett and Ruby. I was dying for their mum to have a little boy called Red or Rufus.

MidnightMasquerader · 23/03/2013 18:52

Gone With The Wind.

Alternatively, a name very much 'having a moment'.

mayanna123 · 23/03/2013 19:00

A little scar.

Jellykat · 23/03/2013 19:29

I love Scarlet, it was going to be DS1 or 2s name if they weren't DS1 or 2.

CPtart · 23/03/2013 19:38

A right little madam

mathanxiety · 24/03/2013 06:11

Being completely mortified - Dublin expression 'I was scarlet' meaning utter embarrassment. Also an Irish setter I used to know.
