How many baby Jessicas do you know?

We have more or less decided that our baby will be Jessica Charlotte if it's a girl. The only thing that puts me off is that it may be too popular. I read that it was the fourth post popular name in 2011 but I have only come across one baby Jessica recently.

How many do you all know?

And do you think that Jessica works with Charlotte as a middle name?
Thanks everyone!

My DD (9) is named Jessica. In her class of 20 girls there are 3 others! and in the other class same year group there are 2.. She is constantly known as Jessica Heifer (well our surname obviously as that would be mean)..

Still love it though. And to be fair, where we lived previously we didn't know any and didn't come across any in preschool etc.

I know one baby and a 2yo, and have two grown-up (30-something) friends with the name.

Love it. Jess/Jessie very cute too.

None but I know one 5yr old and 5 10/11 yr olds!

Lovely name.

Don't really know many people with babies so can't comment there, but in the school I work in there's a Jessica in reception, year 2, year 3 and year 6 so seems to be consistently popular but not excessively so.

None. I would associate it with older children, teens and young adults.

Wow, thanks for so many quick responses! Reassures me as I was surprised it was so high on the list here in the UK too.

I've met a two-year old one recently, but don't know any others.

I know one but she is 28, its fairly uncommon amongst toddlers in my area. Jessica Grace is another suggestion but Charlotte is a beautiful name as well.

Hods.

Personally I like less fussy middle names with longer fussier first names, but I think that's just social conditioning.

If it helps, dd1 was the only person anyone had ever heard of with her name for three months (everyone was like 'wtf?') and then some random newsreader plucked it out of the air for her newborn, and it went straight to no. 1. Attitudes changed within a year from 'I've never heard of that' to utter disdain 'oh, another one'.

I have still only ever met two other children with the same name, and dd1 is now 13.

Your baby, call her what you like.

Wishfulmakeupping · 16/03/2013 21:09

I'm surprised it's that popular - uk? Only know older Jessica's think it works well with Charlotte

starlightloz · 16/03/2013 21:08

I know of a couple who are reception class age then quite a few who are mid to late 20's. It is a lovely name though and goes well with Charlotte.

flossy101 · 16/03/2013 21:08

Don't know any.

Lovely name.
