How many baby Jessicas do you know?

We have more or less decided that our baby will be Jessica Charlotte if it's a girl. The only thing that puts me off is that it may be too popular. I read that it was the fourth post popular name in 2011 but I have only come across one baby Jessica recently.

How many do you all know?

And do you think that Jessica works with Charlotte as a middle name?
Thanks everyone!
xx

I know a three year old one.

MsJupiterJones · 19/03/2013 15:33

I wondered if there would be a boom after the Olympics?

I know one adult Jessica and one aged 18 months. Lovely name esp with Charlotte.

rockinhippy · 18/03/2013 16:32

Thanks everyone. Think that's helped make my mind up. Lets just hope she looks like a Jessica Charlotte if she is a she! xx

I know one two year old

notimefors · 17/03/2013 12:03

One 5 year old. No babies. :)

Astley · 17/03/2013 11:56

None. Only ones I know are 5 and 30.

Branleuse · 17/03/2013 09:59

i have known of loads of kids called jessica, but its your baby. Better to call it a popular name that you like than an obscure name that youre not keen on

lljkk · 17/03/2013 09:16

No babies, youngest is year1 and extremely lovely. :)

Exhaustipated · 17/03/2013 09:11

I know 2.

There were lots at school with me too so I see it as classic popular rather than faddy popular.

Goldalocks · 17/03/2013 09:00

Oh, i think Jessica Charlotte is very pretty, makes a change form the usual Grace or Rose combinations.

Goldalocks · 17/03/2013 08:59

I know one aged 8 and know of another locally aged about 3. It is not a name I have heard a lot at toddler groups or out and about either, for babies. I would associate it more with older school age children, so also surprised to see it so far up the stats. Perhaps demographically it is more evenly spread than some other currently popular names which can result in clusters of Avas or (apparently from another recent thread) Beatrices!

Sheilathegreat · 17/03/2013 07:25

Don't know any but it it is a lead contender for if we have a DD2 Smile

Whatalotofpiffle · 17/03/2013 06:47

2 four year olds, no babies

wigglesrock · 17/03/2013 06:46

I know about 4 under 2 and 3 of them are under a year. If you love the name I would go for it anyway. One of my daughters has a really popular name (begins with O, ends in A Smile ) She started school last September and is in the only one in the year.

mathanxiety · 17/03/2013 02:33

I know an 18 month old and DS(19) had one in his class. Classic name, very nice. Jess is a lovely nn. I like Jessica Charlotte.

AnnieLobeseder · 16/03/2013 23:24

I know a 9yo and a 6yo Jessica.

It's a lovely name.

DillyTante · 16/03/2013 23:20

None, but I really like it.

WinkyWinkola · 16/03/2013 23:11

2 in my dd's class. 1 from my ds1's NCT group.

fluffypillow · 16/03/2013 22:32

I have a Jessica, and she is 2.

I haven't heard of any others at the toddler groups I've been to. My DS2 is 10 and he has 2 in his year.

I love Jessica Charlotte, so pretty Smile My DD is Jessica Elizabeth. We call her Jess most of the time, or 'messy Jessie!'

goldenlula · 16/03/2013 22:22

I think the youngest Jessica I know is 10. 2 others are 18.

2kidsintow · 16/03/2013 22:20

Oooo - omit the apostrophe in that first Jessicas.

sjupes · 16/03/2013 22:20

Oh and DD has a friend at school called jessica she's 7 or 8 - primary 3.

sjupes · 16/03/2013 22:19

I know 1 jessica she'd around 1 year old (not majorly close to her folks) it's a great name i love it :)

2kidsintow · 16/03/2013 22:19

Yep - three other Jessica's in my Jessica's class (and 2 more in the parallel class of the same year in school too). And a couple more in her Brownie pack too. And a few either a year older or younger.

She thinks it's funny.

My Jess is known as Jess the mess.

She's in year 3 though, it could be less popular now than it was in 2004.
