Hard one...how to get Kitt without using Christopher...

FriggFRIGG · 15/03/2013 12:39

Or Christian etc...
There must be a long name with a 'kit' beginning middle or ending.
But I can't find one.
I like unusual names,Cornish,old English,old Norse,Celtic,or just underused Names. (I don't want an 1980's name though Wink )

It may have to be a rather a tenuous connection.
If anyone can find one,it'll be you lot. Thanks

I love Kit, I would just use that on the BC and spell it with one t.

Nicknamegrief · 15/03/2013 13:44

Just go and call him Kit.

I've taught a Kit and no one batted an eye.

FriggFRIGG · 15/03/2013 13:41

"Kit is not really a shortened version of Christopher, it's an 'only on MN' phenomena I believe..."

No, it's definitely the shortened version of Christopher - for at least 450 years now!

Kit Marlowe

ChocsAwayInMyGob · 15/03/2013 13:31

Phwoooarrr who mentioned Morten Harket?. ((thud))

OhBuggerandArse · 15/03/2013 13:30

But if you like Cornish names you can have Kitto! Proper job!

TalkativeJim · 15/03/2013 13:26

Felix

kitsmummy · 15/03/2013 13:22

It's not a MN phenomena, Kit really is a shortened version of Christopher!!!

But that aside, I have a Kit, just Kit, it's a fab name on its own Smile

Ps, are you sure about the double "t"?

Glaikit · 15/03/2013 13:19

I work with a Kitson

FriggFRIGG · 15/03/2013 13:17

Hmm,maybe it could be okay....the middle names are quite long and very boring traditional....and it does 'fit' with the other DC names.

Okay,I'm putting it down on my list, simply as Kitt Grin

Kitt is a fabulous name. I do not have anything constructive to add, just wanted top say that!

LizaRose · 15/03/2013 12:50

I know a child called Kit, that is his full name not an abbreviation.
