Angus and Innes -too similar?

hi
I have 3 ds and am pg with dc4. Don't know if this is also a boy but suspect it may be! All our boys have scottish names (we are Scottish) and we need another similar type of name. Ds2 is Angus and one boys name we really like is Innes. Just wondering if people think this is too similar sounding? Thanks in advance for any opinions Smile

I was going to suggest Hamish too! Actually as pointed out already, when DC4 arrives if it is another boy there'll be a boy between Angus and DC4 anyway. So if you love Innes go with it.

Of course it may be a girl this time! Wink

Kelda, do you mean Inez/Ineez? Innes is definitely a boys name and pronounced differently. In is rather than In ees.

Or what about Hamish (unless you already have one!)?

kelda · 03/03/2013 15:18

Nice name, but I admit, I only know girls with this name.

Yaay! Excellent, thanks for the vote of confidence!

Not to similar at all, Innes is a great name (as is Angus). Do it.

No I don't think they're similar at all. They go well together imo.

freerangeeggs · 02/03/2013 23:48

I don't think they're too similar. I think they're both lovely :)

It is quite similar, but on the other hand how often are you going to say their names together - especially when they are adults - and it sounds like you have another son in between to break it up when you are introducing them all.
