Ok so I entered my daughter into the local newspapers best baby competition. I've bought the newspaper today and in my daughter's category there are the following:

Acer (girl)
Minnie
Oakley
Sasha-Belle (actually love this but still..)
Maisie-Mae
Jäger (girl)
Avah'Riane
Tyla-Jay (girl)
Harijak (as in Harry Jack, not a mixed heritage baby from photo/surname)
Riley-Gareth
Teejai (boy)
Ocean (girl)
And that old favourite....Nevaeh : )

Grin that feels better!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I know a Minnie , her siblings all have quite ordinary names (think Chloe, john , David, Rebecca) and then out comes Minnie ! I'm sure parents now just think of a name and find the weirdest spelling they can and lumber their kids with it !!

Poor children :(

Pixelatemyface I think Lottie-Love is fab!

I think a combo of the most repeated choices would be best so Lacey-Lexi-Mae-Mai it is Grin

Empress77 · 28/02/2013 19:34

oi whats wrong with Brian?

BeeBopDingALing · 28/02/2013 19:30

Wow that's a bit of a different bunch! But Maisie-Mae oh my goodness that's awful.

Ginebra · 28/02/2013 18:52

Wow that is some list. I can hardly believe it's in the UK
I like Sasha and Belle, but it's overkill together. I know a child called Maisie -Jane.

maidmarian2012 · 28/02/2013 18:43

However, whatever my opinions on these childrens names, I believe you have the right to name your children whatever you like.

I forgot, theres an Araminta, too Hmm

maidmarian2012 · 28/02/2013 18:41

I live on an estate, you should hear some of the names round here...

Bexley-Oceana
Frank
Brian
HappiStar (i absolutely kid you NOT)

I could go on. Grin

Varya · 28/02/2013 18:34

For a boy this week I like Jody.

cantfindadecentusername · 28/02/2013 18:32

Following Carrielou's JK comment, it probably is more indicative of the type of people who would enter their child into a best baby competition than your child's future classmates in general...

PixelAteMyFace · 28/02/2013 18:30

What would you change your Dd`s name to? I suggest Lottie-Love Smile

For a boy I think Beau-Lox is nice Grin

Bringmewineandcake · 28/02/2013 18:14

I feel I might have to change my daughter's name so she'll fit in with her future classmates!

carrielou2007 · 28/02/2013 18:01

On JK not in Smile

carrielou2007 · 28/02/2013 18:00

Goodness!! You expect the parents to have been in JK asking for DNA test with names lone that, nibs if them with any teeth Wink

FellNel · 28/02/2013 17:34

Bloody hell. I am not even sure how one would start to pronounce most of those.

Bringmewineandcake · 28/02/2013 17:31

Yep! Smile
Have name changed in case parents of said children track me down...doesn't seem to have changed my first post though!

ladymia · 28/02/2013 17:20
