Daisy Alice - do your worst!

15 weeks pregnant with DC2 - yay Grin

For a girl, we are beginning to settle on Daisy Alice as a possible name.

For a boy, we're dithering between Arthur Clive and Alfred (Fred) Clive (Clive non-negotiable: important family connection).

Surname begins with B. Opinions? (All welcome - want to hear good and bad!)

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Sorry I didn't mean to post then.

I know a Daisy, little brother Alfie, I think they are both great names.

Alice is lovely, I know one 14yo. Very popular on MN, I wonder if there will be a lot more.

I can think of a couple of reasons for Dab jokes but they are pretty feeble.
Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) is a digital radio technology for broadcasting radio stations.

Or it's a flat fish.

CruCru · 25/02/2013 10:02

Dab is something to do with digital radios I think. I don't think it will be a problem.

Daisy Alice is fine. How many syllables does your surname have?

Startail · 25/02/2013 09:57

Dab

siluria · 25/02/2013 09:50

Thanks everyone.

Meant to ask about the D.A.B. thing. DAB isn't so bad, is it? I mean, it's not SCAB or DRAB or anything. Can't think of anything derogatory that could come from DAB, but might be missing something ...

Like Daisy Alice a lot.

And currently 32 weeks pg with an Arthur, so definitely keen on that -mine will have a non-trendy family middle name, too!

ladymia · 24/02/2013 23:01

I like Alice

Daisy is too cutesy for me, really dislike it.

BeaWheesht · 24/02/2013 23:00

I'd have Alice Daisy instead because Alice is one of mY favourite name.

Not sure on your boys names - nothing wrong with them just not my taste. Grin

BeanstalkandBump · 24/02/2013 22:57

I like both names but I'd swap them round as I prefer Alice.
So long as initials don't bother you as you'd have a D.A.B

CharlieBoo · 24/02/2013 21:34

I love it!!!

siluria · 24/02/2013 20:53

I know - am surprised at myself being on the bandwagon. Don't think of myself as a bandwagon kind of girl. But here I am!

Thanks for the speedy replies, and the nice comments! I love Arthur, DH loves Alfred ...

Squarely on the bandwagon, I love it. Smile

steppemum · 24/02/2013 20:50

love it.

DottieDaisy · 24/02/2013 20:50

It's lovely as is Arthur!

SoMuchToBits · 24/02/2013 20:47

Daisy Alice sounds good. I have a person in my family tree (1st cousin of my gran) who was Daisy Amy.

I would go for Alfred Clive rather than Arthur. Alfred can be Alfred/Alf/Alfie/Fred/Freddie but Alfred still a classic name. Smile

coldcupoftea · 24/02/2013 20:47

They are both lovely! I really like Daisy, and despite having 2 little girls I've never actually met one.

Arthur is lovely too, different but not too out there. Grin
