Well I nearly have settled on a dd name but stuck between these two for a ds. Which would you pick and why? I already have a ds called Eli.

Cassius.

MummyInTraining · 06/02/2013 20:29

Love both names. Though Cassius would be my pick. Would you pronounce it Cassy us or Cash us?

scottishmummy · 02/02/2013 23:53

strong male names dont shorten to cass sounds girly (cassandra)
if had to chose id go ezra

DB is only 7. He loves his name and tells everybody he's going to be a boxer when he grows up! He also has a poster of Muhammed Ali in his bedroom! Its pronounced Cass-ee-us. He also goes by Cass, Cassy or 'medium romantic' (dont ask!)

I love him and his name so much its tattooed on my lower back along with his middle names which go very well with his first.

Can you tell how much I worship the ground he walks on? Smile

Lockets that song is brilliant I can imagine how a little Cassius would love it and I'm sure little boys would love to share a name with a famous boxer. I think I'm nearly set on Cassius at the moment. Grin

Charlieandthechocolatecake does your DB like being called Cassius? I don't mind the Mohammed Ali connections at least people will be familiar with the name from him....but does he pronounce it Cash us or Cass ee us, as I want to use the latter pronounciation and I guess people with associate the pronounciation the way he did!

DB is a Cassius, DS is Eli and I LOVE Ezra for another DS. Smile

anonymosity · 02/02/2013 01:51

I can't see the name Cassius without thinking of Cassius Clay - aka Mohammed Ali the boxer's original name. Though he was VERY beautiful in his day....

mamalovesmojitos · 01/02/2013 23:28

Love Cassius! Dont like Ezra so much.

anonymosity · 01/02/2013 23:26

haha yes, that could be a problem...

HillBillySillyBilly · 31/01/2013 21:37

My only concern about Eli and Ezra is I don't want to come across like the Duggars having a theme.

Eli and Ezra - these are two of my faves, unfortunately we have a last name that starts with E and wouldn't go so we had to pass for our ds on both!

Brugmansia · 30/01/2013 02:53

I love Ezra and would use it if soon to be born dc is a boy, but it has been vetoed by DP.

rachywhite83 · 29/01/2013 20:48

My godsons are Elijah and Ezra ! Great names x

HeadfirstForHalos · 29/01/2013 17:42

My friend who has an Elijah has just had another baby boy and called him Ezra!

I really like Ezra.

Yfronts · 29/01/2013 17:27

Cosmo?

Ham69 · 28/01/2013 18:27

I love both. I'd probably go for Cassius because I think it flows better with Eli.

mama2bebe · 28/01/2013 14:28

Cassius is great

Both nice. Prefer Cassius - Cass is a great nn.

Beehatch · 28/01/2013 10:07

I prefer Cassian to Cassius

Ezra is an interesting name, but the only one I knew was spoilt and hyperactive which has rather ruined it for me

HillBillySillyBilly · 28/01/2013 10:01

Ah thanks lockets, he loves his name also. Cass is a fantastic nn. I'm just trying to get my dh to agree he says it just makes him think of the boxer!! Confused
