First name definitely Reuben, but which of these as a middle- dh and I can't decide and I don't want to discuss it with anyone else in RL! Please add any suitable alternative suggestions for us!

Reuben Jude
Reuben Arthur
Reuben Spencer
Reuben George
Reuben Isaac

Am sure there are so many more nice middle names but this gives you an idea of what we like!

Reuben Jude Grin

My 7 week old DS is Jude Robert Grin

They're all lovely though.

jellybeans · 26/01/2013 14:12

Reuben Isaac

LazyMachine · 26/01/2013 12:27

(Reuben George as a distant second contender after Reuben Jude!)

LazyMachine · 26/01/2013 12:26

Definitely Reuben Jude. Strong and interesting.

Ignore PP who said it was too rhyme-y because it's not at all. It's actually the only one on your list that flows easily. The others are too clunky - too many syllables.

Varya · 26/01/2013 12:20

Reuben Spencer!

amazingmumof6 · 26/01/2013 12:20

my initials are V.I.P. but only since I got married, so a happy coincidence! DH actually included this in his wedding speech, it was very funny

we were always very aware to not choose names that'd spell out anything, but DS2 is SAP because we just loved the name combination so much! (he is Samuel Aaron)

based on all of this just choose the name you like, but check the initials don't spell out something stupid, rude or naughty (like AA or SS or PEE or BOG)

perceptionreality · 26/01/2013 12:18

Reuben George

LucieLucie · 26/01/2013 12:11

Reuben Isaac - love this!

IrnBruTheNoo · 26/01/2013 12:05

DH's initials are TB. I always tease him about it, that his parents obviously weren't thinking straight after he was born!

AnAirOfHope · 26/01/2013 11:46

Isaac Elias is my fav Blush

ThedementedPenguin · 26/01/2013 11:46

Honestly I disagree about initials. Nobody cares what initials you have. Maybe it's just where I'm from but seriously nobody cared.

My initials are R A M. So ram like a sheep or i.t. Seriously I think sometimes people over think this. I like Isaac.

Blackqueen · 26/01/2013 11:38

Don't want to throw a spanner in the works but my brother's first name begins with R and surname with C and he was nicknamed RC all through school which quickly became 'arsey' and caused a fair bit of upset. Also my bil's initials are W.C so do think very carefully about initials!

DessieLou · 25/01/2013 22:31

Our yet to be conceived DS has been named Reuben for the last 5 years! It's a family name & I adore it. A little miffed that it seems to be getting quite popular on here lately tbh! Of your list I prefer George closely followed by Isaac. Our DS will be Reuben William after his dad. DD is only 8 weeks old so may be some time before he arrives! Good luck and congratulations. :-)

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/01/2013 20:42

Not overfond of Reuben, sorry - but it is way better than Spencer.
