I don't believe you OP!

Growlithe · 19/01/2013 13:01

I heard of a real life Chablis the other day. I presumed it was spelt right though.

BillyBollyDandy · 19/01/2013 12:55

Before we move towards the "Well my sister's cousin's windowcleaner knew a girl called Ladasha L-a" what are the most unusual names people have met and liked?

I know a little boy called Solo. I thought that was quite cool.

peanutMD · 19/01/2013 11:17

I used to look after a Backory-Binx at nursery...

His mother would say the name, glimpse at peoples bewildered faces and then say "yes, like Hocus Pocus"

Each to their own but not for me personally :o

wewereherefirst · 19/01/2013 11:11

Blayde is an amazing name. Or not.

SneakyBiscuitEater · 19/01/2013 11:07

My DD2 has one of the names on this thread as one of her middle names

In your face baby name fascists Grin

BinarySolo · 18/01/2013 17:41

On my phone I read the title of this thread and the next and thought she was called Bruce. That'd be far worse!

Bet Boo was named after the little girl in monsters inc. Disney has a lot to answer for.

Can't believe you asked why!

lljkk · 18/01/2013 17:40

It's an awful name, OP, and we all know it.

WifeofPie · 18/01/2013 17:39

No. Please just NO. You're a name troll, right? Nobody names their kid that. I refuse to believe it.

Nooooooooooooooooooo......

Moominsarehippos · 18/01/2013 17:39

I recently met an Echo. Such a sad name...

My brother's a teacher and he has taught a Tia Maria, and a boy called Blade.

MardyBraWouldDoEddieRedmayne · 18/01/2013 17:35

Meant not want

MardyBraWouldDoEddieRedmayne · 18/01/2013 17:34

Did the mother ask if you want to be so rude?

Arithmeticulous · 18/01/2013 17:33

I know a grown up Chyna - she is scary - I have often wondered how much nominative determinism was at play there Grin

Viviennemary · 18/01/2013 17:32

We need a government list of approved names. To stop these idiots in their tracks. That is totally ridiculous.

sparklingsky · 18/01/2013 17:31

Was it Beau with a Northern accent? One of the Loose Women have s dd called that...

One of my dc is nn Boo after monsters inc...it was cute at the time, but has now stuck, oops.

LesBOFerables · 18/01/2013 17:30

Velvet is nice. It reminds me of Elizabeth Taylor in the horse movie.

sparklingsky · 18/01/2013 17:29

Well couldve been shampoo....so many great nn with that.

I'm struggling with Velvet, cause I can't see the problem...

But then dd has an 'unusual' name.

Flossiechops · 18/01/2013 17:28

always my daughter calls herself Boo for some reason. She talks in the third person a lot, "Boo loves you" that kind of thing! She's 9 btw! Fortunately it's just a nickname!

I quite like Velvet.

KatieLily12 · 17/01/2013 18:33

In all my years of teaching, my favourite was Chyna because mum liked the food & it sounds exotic. I giggled like crazy & so did she. I asked her why with a Y and she said 'to be fancy'. I think I hugged her.
