Celestine or to be OTT Celestia

ForeverProcrastinating · 12/01/2013 20:27

My all time fav is Demelza - ok, I admit, I was a Poldark fan and loved Angharad Rees' character - feisty and gorgeous.

DH firmly ruled it out completely for dd and she is Kathryn/Kate (sorry, loathe Katie).

MolotovCocktail · 12/01/2013 20:25

Grace, Lola, Mia, Sophia, Ella, Nuala (Noo-la), Pearl, Penelope.

greenandcabbagelooking · 12/01/2013 20:19

Arianna

DizzyHoneyBee · 12/01/2013 20:18

Persephone is great but I got really put off it after hearing a colleague pronouncing it incorrectly. Really wanted to correct her as all the children were doing it as well. Grrr....lol.
Ideal name if your next child will be called Florence.

TorianaTollywobbles · 12/01/2013 20:16

Trinpy · 12/01/2013 20:07

Another vote for Vivienne. I think Vivi would be such a cute nickname for a baby too. Will probably choose either Vivienne, Ingrid or Zsofia for any future dd.

I think Charlotte is beautiful but hate Charlie for a girls nn.

telsa · 12/01/2013 19:58

When dd was born she was nameless for three days. In the end we had to compromise drastically. Dh wanted ruby but she had beautiful mahogany red hair when born and I said it'd be too cruel if she turned really red. She's blonde now. It's her middle name.

bamboostalks · 12/01/2013 19:52

Sybilla but dh vetoed.
Rowan but dh vetoed.

Another vote for Aurelia.

Used to be Evie, and I deeply like (?) Marnie - but I don't think it's a 'beautiful' name IYSWIM

sparklechops · 12/01/2013 19:39

Liberty
Evelyn

Love all these - beautiful written down and said aloud.

CheerfulYank · 12/01/2013 19:04

I love Aurelia. So beautiful!

I also love all the "sh" names...Saorise, Roisin. I shudder to think how they'd be pronounced where we live in Midwest America though!

LentilAsAnything · 12/01/2013 18:59

Ignoring any meanings which may be negative, I like the sound and look of:

Fabienne
Seraphine/a
Evangeline/a
Francesca
Samantha
Ottilie
Aurelia
Serendipity
Genevieve
Indiana
Tatiana

I have not included my top girls' names though, in case I have a daughter. Top secret, and don't want them getting any more popular.

BikeRunSki · 12/01/2013 18:58

Lorelei, but I couldn't persuade DH when DD was born.

pinkandyellowbutterfly · 12/01/2013 18:11

Lucy

lollydollydrop · 12/01/2013 18:05

I love girls names ending in 'a' and I think the letter 'L' flows beautifully.

I was christened Laura and changed my name when I was 10 (with my parents consent, obviously) to include the letter 'o'. I love names with 'o' in them and am considering Noah and Phoebe for DC's

Oooh for the two ladies who said Meredith- I LOVE this name too!! It was on my list for a future DD but a year ago when I mentioned it to OH he wasnt keen, so we named our 8 month old Maine Coon Meredith instead LOL. She alwayys goes by Merry though as she honestly does not shut up purring, she is the most happy cat in the world! She started purring as soon as I picked her up and held her at her breeders house, and she hasnt shut up since!! Grin

Is it weird if I called a human baby Meredith when our fur baby is Merry? Its weird, right? Blush
