Marnie.

I quite like it, think it's much prettier than Ethel. Very different in style though. From Dickensian to Hitchcockian.

She must be on MN though, I'm sure I've seen threads on that name in the last few months.

I like it and I like Ethel too.

Marnie is also what Tom Ellis and Tamzin Outhwaite named their second daughter a while back.

I quite like it. Ethel is awful though, sounds like a decrepit old lady, or a chicken.

Horrible name (sorry Lily if you are reading). Ethel is much better.
Marnie sounds unfinished or like marmite.

They are quite a different style, Marnie's a lot more popular than Ethel too.

Middle name Rose seems a bit unimaginative but I guess as it's Lily's middle name.

Is Marnie usually short for something? Just doesn't feel like a full name.
