I heard a woman in the park calling her little girl Madge. I haven't heard that name in years and years. I also know of a little toddler called Sheila.

Just wondering if any of you know any children with names that you thought had died out completely.

Olive.

I know theres a cleb with a baby Olive which may have started a trend but I can't get past Olive from 'On the Buses'. Needless to say the parents of the baby Olive I know are far too young to remember the TV one.

I know a toddler called Roy, and one called Gordon. I also know a Richard and an Ian - nice names but seem so unusual on a baby now

A family near me have named their baby boy Clive. I think its a family name.

A midwife friend swears she had twin boys just before Christmas called Ronald and Reginald. She didnt know if it was purposly after the Krays, and didnt dare ask

The only young Madge I know has it as a nickname for Madison.

There is a Patsy at DD's pre school and I know of a baby Wilfred which are fairly old-school

LimburgseVlaai · 09/01/2013 12:40

I know a Wilbur.

He is a first-born and his mum had never come across Winnie the Witch. Wilbur the cat is the best cat in fiction though so that's OK.

extracrunchy · 09/01/2013 12:38

Maud.
