I know one...and I think it's awful. Sorry. The girl I know is a spoilt little princess. So that kind of ruined it for me.

emjan · 04/02/2013 11:46

Not keen. I think Nila looks nicer

BusyBee86 · 03/02/2013 18:46

Lovely name, I know a little nyla Smile

MoppingMummy · 19/12/2012 20:32

Lovely name.

Dd1 is named Nyah, meaning purpose. It has Welsh & African origins & she is always complimented on her name.

LolliLouLou · 19/12/2012 19:42

Nice but I prefer Nella....that could be an option?

PPL · 19/12/2012 19:34

I know an Arabic Nayla. Fairly sure thats the correct spelling? or maybe its Naila. defo not Nyla.
Nearly used it but had a DS! I love it.

MustafaCake · 19/12/2012 19:20

Sounds made up to me, sorry.

SunnyUpNorth · 19/12/2012 19:17

I think it's gorgeous.

Shaiandbump · 19/12/2012 17:11

I love it nahla and nylah are both on my list, I've obviously got nahla from Halle berry but l think I looked one of the names up on the Internet and one of them means purpose which is putting me off the name a little bit, anyway im really picky but I do love those names !

thegreylady · 18/12/2012 19:56

I taught identical twins named Nyla and Nibela-I think they were Iranian so not a common name here but quite pretty.

Rhubarbgarden · 18/12/2012 13:55

My health visitor was a Nyla. I don't like it, personally.

almapudden · 18/12/2012 11:10

I like it spelt Naila.

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 18/12/2012 10:34

I'm not keen. Nahla seems nicer to me.

NotSpartacus · 18/12/2012 10:26

I think it was the name of Britney Spears' restaurant ( how do I know such dross?)
So it is a no for me.

vixsatis · 18/12/2012 10:22

Will end up with a sister called Polyestra. Not great

Purplelooby · 18/12/2012 10:19

I know someone with a Nyla although I don't know whether she spells it the same.

beckie90 · 18/12/2012 09:06

Halle berrys daughter is called nahla (think its spelt that way) I like nyla its one of my choices :)

SilverSky · 18/12/2012 03:03

Sounds like a name from Avatar.

Gugglebum · 18/12/2012 02:46

I like the sound of it better without the 'L'. Thandie newton's character in the first Tom Cruise Mission Impossible movie was called Naya, pronounced that way. Nyla make me think of nylon as well.

SunshineAndSand · 18/12/2012 01:01

I know a few - it's a lovely name.
Spelt Naila as well, meaning successful/ the attainer/ achiever in Arabic.

Dogsmom · 17/12/2012 19:53

As long as your surname isn't Bone.

1978andallthat · 17/12/2012 19:48

I thought it was welsh

SledYuleCated · 16/12/2012 23:52

I like it, although my first thought was Nylon.

Steth · 16/12/2012 23:22

so general consensus is Yea?

Isn't Halle Berrys little girl called this? (or something similar)
I like Mila as a name and it sounds very similar, I think I'd agree it sounds a bit made up, but overall I'd say 'yey' rather than 'nay'
