Ds is Finlay and if we hv another boy we're stuck.....

Either DH or I like these, sort of but can't really agree on one, either one of hates it and one loves it.....
Finlay got called Finlay cos its the only boys name we could agree on....

Kind of want sort of 'different' without being weird and both not too keen on james, daniel, thomas, william, micheal etc.......

Wilfred
Rory
Barnaby
Fred
George
Toby

Henry

Any other ideas MNers?

Ooh, I'm on a roll now... Luka. In fact, I think I need to have another baby boy so I can use some of these!

The Finlay I know has a brother Oliver (Olly)

gallivantsaregood · 08/12/2012 09:28

I like Sebastian (Seb) and Louis...

Empross76 · 08/12/2012 09:19

Another one I like - a friend of mine has a Macsen. Could be Max or Mac for short.

MaggieMaggieMaggieMcGill · 08/12/2012 01:21

Ohhh what about Cyrus?

MaggieMaggieMaggieMcGill · 08/12/2012 01:20

Fabian is nice, Finlay and Fabian seem to work together. For a middle name, you can never go wrong with Michael.

Ummofumbridge · 08/12/2012 01:12

Dylan and Ethan popped into my head.
Lots of good suggestions.

We struggled hugely with boys names, too. Our short list included Nathaniel (Nat), Jonah, Milo, Arlo, Sonny. A really popular boys name around here is Osian (pronounced Osh-ann). I quite like that, too.

NamingOfParts · 08/12/2012 00:45

Edwin, Oswin, Oliver

bbbum · 08/12/2012 00:32

Sam, Toby, Leo, Harry, Henry, Sebastian - all quite 'normal'
Fred, Ralph, Wilbur, Ivor, Bert, Bruce, Arthur, Rupert - a tad more 'daring'

humblebumble · 08/12/2012 00:26

Henry

I am a firm believer in that people sharing names have similar personalities generally. Both Finlays that I am aware of are very gentle giants. The most contented easy to get along with people.
But not too common a name that there are only 2 that I know
Good luck with the new arrival I am sure when the little person arrives the name will fit easily
