Welsh boy's name

We have a Welsh surname, though I'm not Welsh, which is why I need a bit of help. We cannot decide on a boy's name. Ones I like won't "go" with our surname. A traditional English name would go with our surname but they are very popular where we are, so he would probably be one of several in his class.

Any ideas or inspiration on Welsh names?
Thanks

I like Ross, but google tells me that's actually Scots Gaelic, it's just the one I knew was Welsh.

Else, Rhys, Owen (who was Ross's partner in crime at school), David, Glynn, Gareth, Evan or Evan John are the Welsh boys names that were common in my bit of Wales.

I know a lovely Hywel, though some people mistake it for Howard

I know of a Gwilym pronounced G-will-um who is known as Will. Others from my family are Morgan, Evan and Glyn.

thanks jakey, I'm with you on Aled (I can only think of Aled Jones, showing my age!) but Owain is better. Brings to mind Gawain, Knight of the Round Table, which is a good thing, to me anyway.

One of my friends has a welsh dh and so named her 3 dc with welsh names. The two boys are aled (not so keen) and owain (pronounced Owen) which I absolutely love Grin I think it's the best if both worlds as is very definately welsh but still sounds English! Smile
