Taran = \t(a)-ran\ as a boy's name (also used as girl's name Taran), is of Gaelic origin, and the meaning of Taran is "thunder". Lloyd Alexander gave the name to his main character and heroine a series of children's books based on Gaelic mythology.

Best boys name ever (not that I'm biased Wink) - Griffin

Easy to spell, easy to pronounce, cool meaning and good derivatives; ie Griff or Fin.

I rest my case

Osian is my ds too :) also known as Osh

I know two Dagen's (in the States and Canada) pronounced Day-gun

uptomyeyes · 01/12/2012 21:47

My DS1 is Osian (Osh-an), known as Osh to everyone. I think its a fab name - cool, but has a great meaning. Osian was a celtic prince and a poet, who married Nia pen Aur ( Nia with the golden hair). They went off to live in Tir Na Nog (land of eternal Youth) and had various other adventures.

I'm happy to share it around Smile

Ooh, Torin - I've never heard that before. Lovely. We're definitely not Scottish, though...
