I think this will be the name for yellow bump if girl, only 5 days to d.day. But wanted any opinions on this name. Also do you know any Tabithas out there? My daughter is Matilda. Many thanks

Love it

AlwaysHoldingOnToStarbug · 30/11/2012 21:36

I love it, and I was going to have twins called Matilda and Tabitha, so I think they definitely go well together! (I had boy twins!)

BananaBubbles · 30/11/2012 21:22

I hate it.It's a harsh,unattractive name imho.

mattab · 30/11/2012 19:44

My feeling is that it's becoming slightly more mainstream and with that the bewitched connection is becoming outdated, and hopefully the more the name is used the less 'catty' it will feel. If Felix can get away with it, dear old Tabitha can. Not too sure, might be overthinking now. Well the house has been 'nested', got to find something to obssess over. Thanks for comments and the good luck x

It put us off unfortunately, didn't want people thinking they were witches l
Shame cos it's a beautiful name, we went with Addison instead
Good luck! Not long!!!

Hmm to me it's the name for a witch or a witchs cat, sorry. Is my instant thought that the mum must really be a "cat" person to name her child that.

Leafmould · 30/11/2012 17:24

Like it but disagree re it going nicely with Matilda: too samey. Sorry!

Both lovely names though.

birdofthenorth · 30/11/2012 17:21

Adore.

WonkyWilly · 30/11/2012 17:15

I love Tabitha and it goes really nicely with Matilda! Will you use nn Tabby? I wouldn't shorten it as it is so nice just as it is!

mattab · 30/11/2012 16:18

Ooooo spooky, can't say that would put me off. Did it stop you or did you just changed your mind? I'm two days off due date and having name wobbles

I think there will always be a connection to our feline friends, but at it will lose its connection after a while, after all Tom did, didn't he? Thanks for all comments and here's to taking the name back for the humans.

I can't hear Tabitha without adding <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?hl=en&safe=off&sa=N&tbo=d&biw=1366&bih=677&tbm=isch&tbnid=ijjpzQnF-2CQUM:&imgrefurl=www.fiction.us/potter/tk/tk.htm&docid=axbOjCB8ad_tOM&imgurl=www.fiction.us/potter/tk/tkpics/tom20.jpg&w=517&h=536&ei=u_C1UI-QLsfZ0QW7zIEY&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=814&vpy=337&dur=2661&hovh=229&hovw=220&tx=145&ty=192&sig=113574539567410238599&page=1&tbnh=144&tbnw=145&start=0&ndsp=34&ved=1t:429,r:24,s:0,i:161" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Twitchit in my head. There are worse associations though.
