I know someone whose daughter and son are called Paris and Troy. Really! Aside from being utter rubbish, I mean, if we are going with mythology Paris is a boy not a girl, and Troy is a place not a person! Its Paris and Hector surely? Or Troy and Mesopotamia?

So can you top that? Go on, I could do with a laugh.

Neil nelly Noel Natasha Nathan nick Nicole Natalie neive and know im running out.

FellatioNelson · 21/11/2012 14:12

I used to joke with an Ex boyfriend that our children would be called Daniel, Samuel and Emmanuel.

AlwaysHoldingOnToStarbug · 21/11/2012 14:02

Oops that was me mentioning Jayden - because I have one and like to indulge in a spot of baby name bingo on these sort of threads.

If only I'd called my other 4 Kayden, Rayden, Brayden and Shayden instead. Is it too late to change their names?

Expecting twins was a great time to come up with ridiculous combinations. Especially when you tell people and they think you're serious! Grin

Alisvolatpropiis · 21/11/2012 14:01

7 N names shows imagination though. I can only think of about 4!

PickledFanjoCat · 21/11/2012 13:59

Like the karsashians. Grin

FellatioNelson · 21/11/2012 13:56

It wasn't 'funny' or a 'problem', it was just that as there were 7 of them it became a bit laboured and silly and contrived after about the third one. the names got progressively worse and more outlandish just to stick with the theme.

PickledFanjoCat · 21/11/2012 13:54

I'm very confused about the cardi too.

GurlwiththeFrothyCurl · 21/11/2012 13:49

Wayne, Dane, Shane, Zane, Dwayne. Wondered if they ever had another one, maybe Gawaine?

Alisvolatpropiis · 21/11/2012 13:36

InNeed - I think either is fine personally, but I don't tend to judge children as being "try hard" or *"chavs". I'm fascinated as to how a cardie can be try hard mind. It's just a cardie surely?!.

well done tramlines look super cute imo. AND I think kiddy UGGs are adorable.

So ner ner ner judgy people.

*or adults.

LifeIsBetterInFlipFlops · 21/11/2012 13:28

Hurricane

InNeedOfBrandy · 21/11/2012 13:27

How is that a problem or funny that they all began with N Confused

FellatioNelson · 21/11/2012 13:24

I once worked with a woman who had seven children whose names all began with N. She was really scraping the bottom of the barrel by the end.

InNeedOfBrandy · 21/11/2012 13:22

I don't know alis but my ds loves his cardies and he has had tram lines and patterns shaved in before. Do you think because he normally has high tops not uggs (he wouldn't wear them) that makes it better or worse?

Alisvolatpropiis · 21/11/2012 13:16

What's a "try-hard mancardie"? Hmm

PickledFanjoCat · 21/11/2012 13:15

Oh I didn't see your point there, op. I agree with brandy it got a bit horrible in the middle.

Putting warning judgemental is pointless.

I can't go over tesco and shout warning shoplifter before filling my pocket with chocolate oranges.

InNeedOfBrandy · 21/11/2012 13:12

No OP it started with

^BunnyLeBOOwski Mon 19-Nov-12 20:59:26
Diesel and Jenson.^

Twin boys. About 2. With matching tram lines shaved into their hair, chunky try-hard mancardies and UGG boots

But yes of course we were all looking for a fight Hmm

Or the Mia type of names before prostitute names got mentioned.

PickledFanjoCat · 21/11/2012 13:09

Inside your jeans! You animal!

DancesWithWoolsEnPointe · 21/11/2012 12:15

I've given the Uggs their own thread - UGGs - I'll leave the croc and hunters discussion to someone else cos I don't have either of those

Alisvolatpropiis · 21/11/2012 11:52

I've always thought Jayden was a variant spelling of the Biblical Jadon,so never really understood why it gets such a bad rap from people.

DancesWithWoolsEnPointe · 21/11/2012 11:44

MrsDV I have to say that I don't think this thread was showing a disdain for certain groups until those of you expecting it to made it so. There was the incident with Scarlet and Lola being considered prostitute names by one poster, but that is not snobbish thing, it is a personal opinion based on literature. Other than that the names being laughed at here are all fine individually, but when combined with siblings or surnames become odd. The list of names on here could come from any walk of life.

I appreciate that some people find this thread distasteful, but I do think some of you came looking for a fight that actually wasn't here.

Incidently, no one mentioned Jayden until one of the poster expecting some sort of class war said she was surprised it wasn't mentioned although Jayden, Hayden, Braydon and Bob would be elligable

Twin girls - Tea and Coffee

PickledFanjoCat · 20/11/2012 23:45

Welsh that's hilarious. My favourite of the night!

Just so random!

WelshWereRabbit · 20/11/2012 23:43

Nina, Tina, Gina and .... Roland.

manicinsomniac · 20/11/2012 23:27

I think laughing about funny sibling sets is fine. Mocking individual names less so. Most of the names on this thread are normal names but some of the combinations are hilarious.

Also - I think Uggs are posh aren't they? I work in a private school and everyone has both Uggs and Hunters (don't know about crocs, I guess they'd be holiday wear). My children have hunters (courtesy of friends Grin) and they are totally worth it if you live in the country imo. Especially if you wear welly socks with them. (anyway, what a tangent!)
