DD1 needs a good, Catholic saint's name for her confirmation. She would like something different, but honourable.

St Cecilia patron st of muscians!

DIddled · 08/11/2012 22:36

Cecelia is I think the saint of music?

PlaySchool · 08/11/2012 22:35

Thewoollybackswife has a good idea. E.g., I loved animals when I was a child so I took my confirmation name after St Francis of Assisi. I still love animals and I'm training to be a teacher so I think St Francis is having an influence on me. He was also barking mad by all accounts Wink

Thank you. She loves reading, musical instruments and fashion. I doubt there's a patron saint of fashion though!

This website lists female saints names. There are plenty there that will help you avoid the ever popular Mary, Rose, Theresa and Bernadette Grin

Is there a particular interest that your daughter has? There may possibly be a patron saint that has a name that means something to her as a person.

AuntAda · 08/11/2012 22:22

Philomena
Dymphna
Alacoque

Also there are not many Bernadettes around nowadays, that could be due a revival.
