We've a Noah and both Leo and Oscar were on my list for DD but sge's a girl so she's Sophia. Also like Maya, Rosa, Clara, Hannah and Rachel for a girl.

Dynababy · 18/11/2012 16:59

Lois

DessieLou · 18/11/2012 16:20

I'm pg with a girl and due in less than 2 weeks. She is destined to be nameless and is currently referred to as 'The Kid'...poor thing. Here is a list of all the names that one or the other of us likes, hope it helps!
Natalie
Jasmine
Zara
Leila
Francesca
Madeleine
Lucy
Annabelle
Iris
Ava

Would have been so much easier if The Kid was a boy!
Emmett
Nicholas
Everett
Ephraim
Rupert
Jasper
Fraser
Edwin/Edward (Ted)

And as you love Phoebe, how about the male version...I have a great great relative or other called Pheobus! OH would never go for it but I kinda love it!

Good luck!

ChippingInLovesAutumn · 17/11/2012 23:39

Leo & Lily - not a great combo IMHO - as someone else said, it sounds like a pair of rabbits.

justhayley · 17/11/2012 23:36

I like Leo and Ollie (Oliver on birth cert) or Leo and Alex (Alexander)

GoldPlatedNineDoors · 12/11/2012 09:31

Max

Ella

Grace is lovely, and although it seems to be every other girls middle name, its rarely used as a first name. Gracie is awful. For a boy I like Jude, Max and George and think they go well. Chandler will sound like a surname

It's like a competition to guess the name of the teddy at the school fair - I so want to know who wins! Grin

Jojoba1986 · 09/11/2012 00:05

I like Leo & Jacob, or Jessica... I like J names! Smile

amazingmumof6 · 09/11/2012 00:03

And borrowing the words of the good doctor in Friends (when Rachel is pregnant) " I know it's not my place to say, but whatever you do, please don't call him Pheobo!"

Also "Is it just me or Veto started to sound really good?"
Oh, I miss Friends...

One more: Leo & Emma?

Popumpkin · 08/11/2012 23:57

If you like Lily, how about other flower names like Poppy, Ivy or Daisy?

The only little Leo I know has a sister called Phoebe Grin.

amazingmumof6 · 08/11/2012 23:56

Leo & Rosie? Leo & Mia? Leo & Yasmin?

amazingmumof6 · 08/11/2012 23:51

We have a Noah, great name, go for it!! Our daughter's second name is Grace, can't fault that either!

Sorry, don't like Lily. Leo & Lily together sounds like a clothing range..

Sophia? Miriam? Eve? Zita?

Alisvolatpropiis · 08/11/2012 23:37

Hai I prefer Noah to Oscar by a mile. There's nothing wrong with Oscar (Oscar Wilde is an excellent namesake) I just prefer Noah.

Lily is lovely! Especially with the one L in the middle. I hate it spelt with two. No idea why.

I don't think you need a really long list. In some ways that could make the actual naming harder. If you've got 20 names and you're sitting there trying to work out which one suits your baby best it could drive you mad!

seeker · 08/11/2012 09:26

My dd has a special hard stare for people who call her Gracie without permission- they rarely do it twice. I think her reception teacher was quite shaken.......

Hai1988 · 08/11/2012 08:05

Thanks all.for ur suggestions. Its so hard to even create a short list of names that we both like.

So far we have boys:
Oscar
Noah

And girls:
Lily

Any more suggestions ladies

Grace is very nice but not Gracie. I don't know why people worry so much about 'matching names'. But not Leo and Cleo obviously. Grin I like Pearl and Iris.
