For a boy??

It wouldn't be my favourite name. Also would you mind it being shortened to Rob or Robbie?

Tamdin · 31/10/2012 20:40

Lovely. My husband's name is robin (and he is a man amongst men) so I'm biased of course!

Ughfootballseason · 01/11/2012 14:08

Love it and it's up there at the moment if we're ever mad enough to go again.

BananaBubbles · 01/11/2012 16:13

Love it.

Boy or girl?

We have one in the family and a friend of the family (must be in his 70s now) - both boys - and they really hate christmas. Must be all the cards and giftwrap with the wee fat red-breasted birds on them it never gets old.

Very nice.

camgirl · 01/11/2012 18:11

Love it for a boy, not keen for a girl. But all the Robins I know are men/boys.

BuntyPenfold · 02/11/2012 08:59

I would say I like it, but only for a man.

I have a sister called this, and she has hated it all her life - constant jokes about 'redbreast' unfortunately has soured what was a sweet name.

RillaBlythe · 02/11/2012 10:38

Love it for a boy. It's up there on our list.

FireOverBabylon · 02/11/2012 10:43

I like it, it strikes me as being a very gentle name.

Frontpaw · 02/11/2012 13:38

Ah Robin Nedwell

MadamFolly · 02/11/2012 13:40

I like it for both sexes.

Robin for boys

Robyn for girls.

amck5700 · 02/11/2012 13:49

Sorry, but it's a bit wet I think for a boy/man. It's in the mix with Lindsay and Leslie and all those type of names for me.

Yika · 02/11/2012 18:18

I think it's a lovely name. I prefer it for a girl though - I find it slightly drippy for a boy, though the Robins I know aren't at all so don't know where I've got that from. :)
