non 'girly' girls names

Sorry for the vague title, I'm just really struggling to describe the type of name that we're after!

Ideally, we want a name that is subtly pretty, but not in your face girly so a future DD would have choices to suit her personality.

So if anyone has managed to decode what I mean through my sleep deprived, pregnancy brain jumble, please could you suggest some names that might suit? Currently considering Elliot, Eden and Asha.

Loving these - thanks! Scout is another one I love, but DH isn't sold.

If you want non frilly go for a short name - 2 syllables at the most.

My favourite girls name is Josephine which is fairly feminine but nickname potential is vast. Jo and Phin are a little less frilly and Josie, Posey, Sephie are good frilly options.

Matilda? You have a few options there. Tilly, mattie.

Leona/Leonie - strong but pretty

Niamh/Neve?
DS has a female Elliotte in his playgroup, not really a fan tbh.
Elizabeth/Beth?

What about a name like Elizabeth with loads of nn potential?

Thanks for the suggestions, they're both lovely. I suppose my reasons for this are that I hated my name growing up - it was so frilly, couldn't be shortened and just didn't suit me. I think that maybe a more understated name would be better for suiting any personality, IYSWIM?

How can you have choices to suit her personality if she is not born?

My name doesn't suit my personality but it's what my mother loved and gave me.
You are over thinking this

Erin?

I've thought of one! Seren, feminine but not frilly. Welsh for star.

Eden and Asha are lovely! Eden Asha sound rather nice as a first name middle name combination.

Elliot isn't a non girly girls name,it's boys name.

I'm not very good at suggesting non girly girl names because I'm at the opposite end of the scale to you :)
