I'm thinking of calling my next daughter coriander, what do you all think?

I'm on my iPhone so can't do the linky thing properly, but I promise it's worth a copy and paste. Grin

stifnstav · 27/10/2012 11:13

What about Julia and... Chinese 5 Spice?

biscuitracer · 27/10/2012 11:11

Thyme and tide wait for no man though! Not set on a middle name, did think coriander/cardamom patricia has a lovely flow to it.

OP posts:
almapudden · 27/10/2012 11:04

I quite like Thyme.

pikesy1 · 27/10/2012 11:04

Have you chosen a middle name, OP?

DorsetKnob · 27/10/2012 10:39

Cumin
Fennel
Cinnamon
Mustard

OscarPistoriusGirlfriend · 27/10/2012 10:18

This is a piss take isn't it?

Cardamon, really?

What about tumeric?

R4 · 27/10/2012 10:14

Haven't seen the archers

You don't say!! I would never have guessed. PMSL

DorsetKnob · 27/10/2012 10:10

Thanks for cheering me up OP and OP's DH.

ABitWoozy · 27/10/2012 10:04

I was convinced there was a sleb baby called Coriander already but looks like one baby had a lucky escape here

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 27/10/2012 09:57

Corinna?

Frontpaw · 27/10/2012 09:54

Nigella flowers are pretty enough. The Lawson connection is enough for me not to sew any. Annoying woman.

squoosh · 27/10/2012 09:51

Nigella?

I mean it's awful but it's a name and it's a black onion seed.

Frontpaw · 27/10/2012 09:50

You do hear Saffron though... Never Tumeric, Garam Masala or Garlic (equally fine ingredients)

biscuitracer · 27/10/2012 09:47

Any thoughts on cardamom? Been telling DH about comments on here and he suggested that as alternative

OP posts:
maillotjaune · 27/10/2012 09:24

Great spice, nice herb, awful name.

My first thought was of the spice so you could try Cumin, Caraway, Ginger, Black Mustard....Grin

DorsetKnob · 27/10/2012 09:10

math thanks for that I was wondering what this herb was that all the american cooking programmes used that looked like coriander.

cupcake78 · 27/10/2012 07:21

No not good and please don't call your baby after a fishy dip (taramasalata)!

VintageRainBoots · 27/10/2012 06:30

Coriander? No. It's beyond horrible (no offence).

Re: Chardonnay, Honey, Peaches, Brandy (or Brandi).

nooka · 27/10/2012 05:45

Don't call your child a came that you think personally you'd get 'used to'! Choose a name that you think would be great to have.

Picking a name because it's 'exotic' makes me think of Frogmella and Spudulika. Not great.
