I've only ever seen it called chavvy on mn, also teachers on here saying they judge the child on the name but tbh I think it says more about the teacher than the child.

My family all like Reid, however I'm still bot sure. Dp is still saying no to all suggestions, not sure if he genuinely doesnt like any of them or if he's being stubborn!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts

Ethan is a lovely name.

Notnowcato · 25/10/2012 14:12

This is completely left of field (literally), but last night a reporter had the first name Kier (as in Kier Hardie, for those of a socialist persuasion) and I quite regretted the fact I would have no more children ?

Alisvolatpropiis · 25/10/2012 11:27

echidnakid I think Connor went through a phase of being so a few years back,it did in my area anyway. But it doesn't seem to be so anymore.

Good luck making a decision that feels mutual.... I think it's rare a kid gets a name that was the first choice for both parents!

Moominsarescary · 23/10/2012 21:28

leaf I should have put Darragh, which is how dh wants to spell it but I'm dyslexic and hadn't noticed I'd missed out the g! Hadn't thought about just the one r

Leafmould · 23/10/2012 21:18

Darrah is great, but would you consider spelling it daragh?

bigbluebump · 23/10/2012 21:03

From your suggestions, op, I really like Arden and Isaac. I also love the suggestion above of Quentin or Quin for a fifth son.

(Darrah sounds feminine to me, sorry).

Moominsarescary · 23/10/2012 21:00

Hes saying no to everything!

melody ds1 is Connor

I have no idea what your Ds1 is called, but I LOVE all your other boys names.

Mine has the same name as your Ds4 and your Ds3 name was on my list.

Anyway, I like Isaac from your lists.

What about Leo, Luca, Ben, Alex, Fraser?

StrawberryMojito · 23/10/2012 19:21

I like all of ebooks suggestions with the exception of Tristan. I don't like either of your DPs choices.

I like Samuel, Alex, James, Matthew, Joe, Nathaniel, Louis, Christopher (Kit for short), Finlay. I also like Isaac and Oliver.

CaramelAndCinammon · 23/10/2012 19:12

BeaWheesht · 23/10/2012 19:09

Daragh is nice

Rowan is probably my favourite though

Getagripp · 23/10/2012 19:08

Arden makes me think of hard on.

Sorry

Moominsarescary · 23/10/2012 19:03

I've only come across Arden in a book, dp knows some Irish Ardens so think that's where he's coming from.

He's already said no to dexter and Flynn along with many others! I think he's holding out for Darrah as this is what we were going to call ds3 until fil died and we named him after him.

We both like Reid but there's something in the back of my head saying no! I'll mention all the names put forward and see what he says.

I like traditional names. Philip Joseph Michael. From your list I like Isaac best.
