What is your first reaction to this name?
Is it common where you live? Thanks

No, it's a girl's name first and foremost now.

I know quite a few - 2 in DD's yr at primary (she is in yr 7 now), I teach 2 or 3, 2 or 3 more in DS2's school but not in the Maddie/Ellie/Jess league.

I like your old-lady names too Smile

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 04/11/2012 21:27

I have a Georgia, Georgie for short, so of course I think the name is lovely.

I've not met any others of her age, more older (12+)

Good luck with your baby :)

Savonarola · 04/11/2012 21:23

I don't know any Georgias in RL, but do know 2 Georginas

Natnat29 · 04/11/2012 21:20

missnevermind · 04/11/2012 14:33

Loobylou DS1(14) calls her Baby G which I thought was quite sweet.

troubador · 03/11/2012 19:07

i love it! Much nicer than a little old lady name.

Shenanagins · 03/11/2012 18:59

I have it on my list as i love it so its nice to read that its not too common or unusual.

Loobylou222 · 03/11/2012 18:53

I love it, but I wouldnt want it to be shortened and oh's family have a habit of shortening everyone's name!

DontmindifIdo · 03/11/2012 18:50

I live in Kent and am surrounded by pre-schoolers! I know 1. However, I know 3 Georgina's

DebK2012 · 03/11/2012 18:48

My DD is Georgia and I still love it, and there's only one other in her school of over 200.

Natnat29 · 22/10/2012 19:40

I know hundreds of under 5s, but only 1 is Georgia. She's 4.

Snowflakepie · 22/10/2012 19:33

My colleagues 13yr old is the only one I know. Popular but not overly so anymore, I always think of it as a more modern version of Georgina which sounds a bit more mature to me. Do not spell it with any Js, please. Lovely choice.

strawberryswing · 22/10/2012 18:10

beautiful, my 3 month old is a georgia, i love love love it. my health visitor said she hadnt had a little georgia for a while, and i only know one who is 19ish. definately go for it :)

Natnat29 · 22/10/2012 08:24

Exactly what I'm hoping for - name with a classic feel, I do like names like Charlotte and Emma but we know lots of those but no Georgia's

littlemissnormal · 22/10/2012 08:22

I've got a 6 year old Georgia and the only other ones I know are 1 11 year old, 1 7 year old and 1 19 year old.
I like to think its quite classic but not common!
